Do seams all the time. I'd use 60" wide ACM, run the seam vertical, right down the center with a support brace behind it. It'll be shorter than running it horizontal, couple feet less to brace, and look better. It'll outlast painted wood in that application too.

I'd go with C, quick, easy, collect, and go have lunch. Colored ACM, you'll get different results with different manufacturers, some is pretty cheap and will either fade sooner, or dark colors that get hotter in the sun will try to warp it. Stick with good stuff, and there's usually no issues...

I grew up in a body shop, my teething rings were bondo spreaders... Matthews paint is the bomb for this stuff, but my little brain instantly goes to what body shops use for filling/ pre-finishing supplies, primers, etc. :)
