was gonna post on how I agreed about the font below not fitting in, but then read on and saw customer canned it. Bummer, that was a great script! For what it's worth, I have like 3-4 logos in my portfolio that the customer canned :)

I agree with signmeup. Needs more "butch"! None of them say construction or engineering to me, and they look a little dated too. You have a great opportunity to play off the letterforms and how they are symmetrical, maybe play around with that some more but keep everything heavy and sharp.

After much research we settled on Cyrious. First impressions are it (or any job management/POS software I would reckon) is only as good as how well you set it up. So far, we're happy with it, but for what it's worth are only 1 month into using it.

Agree with squeeGee. I can see both sides. I'll wait to hear all the details before completely writing off 3m, but it is a free market society after all. We'll see if this move alienates enough sign shops to affect their market share. I am sure this has been in the works for a looong time, all...

We were using cast acrylic and white for that job. We weighed the white issue and the changeover. Our thoughts were, white is probably 10% of our business. One benefit of switching over is the heads don't need to constantly be cleaned as much, so you don't waste as much ink by flushing the white...

We have had our FB 700 running for about 3 weeks. We aren't quite in full production mode yet, but are generally happy with the results and will be running it solid starting next week. A few things we have noticed...if you are printing on acrylic, turn the lamps up all the way or the ink will...

i like the typography you had in post one. bold font with light font. i also liked just the logo on the front, all other info on the back. at some point, you gotta make the call though.

yeah, that is bad. This one instance where I would fight as hard as I could against what the customer wanted. It looks so bad now. If they insist not to have neck upright I would show only the head somehow.

I like both new versions. I like the vertical one too, but not if you have your logo turned the other way on the backside. Just my $.02. Nice improvements, so much better.

I actually think this is working much better. I don't usually like flopping the orientation of a business card from front to back though. That said, I think version one looks good. What you may consider, is adjusting the placement of the blue bar, so it kinda matches the height of the letters of...
