  2. 2000 sq ft of printing, what are the best practices for long runs

Extra ink, extra printheads, extra material but what else should I do or know before a long run like this. I just did a long run and all went well till the printer started printed red and I had no idea why. Or when some of the prints were too small and I had to do them. My friend suggested doing...
  3. Still printing red.... new profile helped a little, still red though

I have a HP latex 315. It has been printing reddish on the prints. I think I have figured out that it is the printheads but did not realize there are 2 printheads for each color combo. except light cyan and light magenta. So I swapped out one of each. Was this a bad thing? I'm gonna get the...

I have been gettin a reddish/ magenta hue on my prints. I got a deadline and it could not have happened at a worse time. Any ideas? My friend said it looks like a printhead issue. I ran the cleaning, and all diagnostic tests. I upped the optimizer which seemed to make it worse. I am gonna try...

I can not change my pass count. IT is always greyed out. I don't understand why its always greyed out because this seems essential to getting this problem fixed.
  8. Need Help Dark colors = greasy spots on my HP latex HELP!

My HP 315 is great, however whenever I get a dark color job I get these greasy spots all over. I have been told this can be fixed by increasing the interpass delay and heat. I've tried these and it seems to help, but it doesn't feel fully cured. Wondering if it may be the ink % is at 120. The...

It was the media. You were right. Now I am getting greasy spots though. especially with dark colors. I increased the interpose delay and heat with fingers crossed.

  12. Need Help HP 315 LATEX PRINTING SPOTS

The saturation section in my media calibration test seemed to indicate that was it, because the image looks spotty like the test says to evaluate. I did not replace the optimizer printhead, I replaced the optimizer cartridge.
  13. Need Help HP 315 LATEX PRINTING SPOTS

I have not tried any other medias yet. I was printing on it fine a week ago. 3mIJ35 pretty reliable. I did just run the media calibration chart and it looks like its a color saturation issue? But I suspect it really is the optimizer because I just replaced that cartdridge and this is when it...

  16. Are there "best practices" for contour cut lines?

You can simplify your paths easy in illustrator. Select path you want to round and smooth. Go to Object>Path and click on "simplify" you can preview how round or smooth you want your path. I think this will get rid of extra vector points too.
  17. Liability insurance, Workers Compensation, guidance needed!

One of my clients of 4 years just asked me to provide a certificate of insurance. They also required me to sign a hold harmless contract and to show that I pay workers comp. This sort of blidnsided me as most of my clients are museums and have never asked for that before because their own...
  18. Summa or Graphtec

Also need to add that Summa tech supports words to my cutters problem : "It must be the material, Oracal 631 is a different material than what our cutters are used to" Thats when I knew I got a lemon.
  19. Summa or Graphtec

I returned it at a $1200 loss for restocking. Funny but Graphtec's Mac software is identical to Flexi, flawless, and can operate right from illustrator. The Graphtec is a champ so far, fast reliable robust and 1/2 the price. plus the customer service is top notch. sorry but I'll never be able...
