If you can get into the service mode, run a linear encoder test and clean the strip and sensor, it might not be "parking" all the way back to where it should be. IIRC there is also a sensor that knows it is parked in the correct location, it may need a minor adjustment or cleaning? Been 10+...
Use clamps, screws or another fixture to hold the project piece to the spoilboard so that it doesn't move while cutting. We experience a lot of movement of ABS board on our router and always have to fight with it. Resurfacing your spoilboard and sealing the side edges should also help improve...
Really, the choice no a days is between an Epson and a HP. HP is great at sitting idle, but that's about it. Color consistency is horrible for repair panels and it wastes a LOT of vinyl compared to any other printer.
I would definitely recommend an Espon 60600 for your needs. You wont need the...
Either way could work, but we only do them with our Gerber Edge printers here.
Plotting them on a wide-format printer just doesn't do as good of a job (accuracy) with that many cut passes.
I agree with recommending a 60600 over an 80600 if you're looking for fast output. The colors are awesome, we never miss the other additional ink colors here and no customer issues. The few times a year you actually need to print white just outsource that job.
I bet you they are looking for reverse printed LexEdge decals, printed on a Gerber Edge and backed with 3M 467 adhesive. They are scratchproof and permanent.
We do a lot of them for companies that make equipment that starts with a key, like generators, etc.
Your price is your price, not everyone has the same expenses and base costs.
I know we receive good pricing on our materials, but we do buy a lot. I do not see how anyone can sell a print THAT cheap though on cast materials.
Looks like uneven tension from top to bottom. Can you add some sacrificial extra yellow along the bottom to add some more pull down there?
I've had to rotate some designs 180 degrees to get an Edge to print them correctly before also.
Here in the midwest we are around $5000 for a 54ft trailer. Do a lot of them at that price, 3M 180c/8519. Install with 2 guys is 1 day. Corrugated trailers add another day.
You could possibly use a gloss clear coat spray paint over top of the current paint to get a nice "smooth" glossy finish to adhere the lettering to. Recently painted a stained wood sign and it was a nightmare to get the stencil to stick so we could get the lettering painted. Took a few coats of...
It was me with the end caps screwed into plywood boxes. Never had any (domino) issue with them this way at our old shops or here either. It allows you to store and label a lot of materials easily.
We used to do them around 8:30 every day, but it does interrupt the morning workload and it was harder to know about the no-shows and other glitches that are unforeseeable at that point. It also has some to do with UPS pickup schedule (around 2:00pm, and a lot of customers require a bunch of...
We have our 15-20 minute daily production dept meetings here; different time every morning usually around 9-10am.
We have around 15 total employees and 6 are in production, usually the owner steps into the meeting if he is available.
We go through our schedule for yesterday through 5 days out...
I have had a few of the X/Y optical axis sensors go out over the years. Sounds like your sensor is either going out or just might have a scrap of vinyl/paper stuck in it.
We've never had bad ink for any of ours either. One is still printing here; must be a ton of miles on that machine. Last one to die had a mainboard issue that killed it but was printing fine until then.
