Cyan ink came just now.
Heads all dried up.
For people who want to know the same thing.
Mimaki CJV 130
If your ink runs out from what i can gather you cannot do anything with the carriage ie soak the heads and your heads will dry out.
Unless somebody knows a work around if you get caught out...
Thats the problem, when it says ink is out that is it i cant do anything regarding capping or nozzle wash the functions are disabled, when i go to "station" it wont let me enter that menu.
So our Mimaki CJV 130 has a habit of displaying 10% ink then dropping to empty in about 3 passes.
Problem is i cant get any ink for 24 hours and the cyan is completely out.
So is there a way to manualy cap the head or does it do this automatically because it knows it is out of ink and of course...
We deal with MX riders and some race car drivers. They will spend 2k on an exhaust to make 0.1 of a second a lap and then squeeze us for a discount. In fairness if they specify a size they are probably getting scrutineered on the number size which is stated in the regulations so it needs to be a...
I have one. 3 years and done it about 3 times. Probably load 2 rolls a day so it doesnt happen often but it does happen.Never broken anything but agreed it is a pain to load compared to other printers and yes the new loading was a "major" selling point when the reps were round, like " hey see...
Not a very technical answer here but i have used both and from an operators point of view only it would be Roland for me. Easier to use for yourself and staff. Again, not sure on running costs and small technical nuances but at the end of the day they put ink on vinyl and cut said vinyl out. A...
Ah no sorry i have it the wrong way round here (few years since we perf cut on a Roland) Perf cut is set up in versaworks not the cutter. I would double check the settings you should be able to go to maximum on both perf and half cut, we used to perf cut very thick laminate on ours.
We print max graphics so have say 40 designs. Each of those designs we do for each bike so for instance shockwave design is done for YZ 125 YZ 250 etc each of those models has various different years. Now for some reason one of our designs does the exact same thing. The work around for us is...
Oh yeah. You will need one of these on this "great" machine as well because the blade doesnt lift up high enough when moving from one cut to the next and scratches your media (all the time)
You will also need one of these on your "great new piece of sh!t sorry kit" because the blade does not...
Our Summa T series is brand new we got it because the Graphtec was on its last legs like yours, eventually the graphtec Y motor siezed and we put the Summa into production. Two weeks and ALOT of wasted material later the Summa was taken off the shop floor and a new ex demo Graphtec was...
Stay away from the Summa.
In my experience the worst of the major plotter brands, just because everybody says they are the best does not make it so in the real world.
Graphtec if you are familiar with them, if not they can be a bit daunting.
Roland are bullet proof and very easy to use.
Sandblast 60 degree 390-550 tangiential.
Substance laminate.
However as you can see on the images above it is off from the moment the knife touches down.
Summa have been out to look at it.
Nothing wrong with the machine it just cant handle heavier laminate.
Which begs the question, why go up to 600g of force?
Its like having a car that will rev up to 10000rpm but will blow up at 5000rpm.
I now have a $10000 cutter sat here which is no use. I...
