  1. Bad Tracking And Skew Cuts

Thanks Jerry but it makes no difference whther the full sheet is laminated or not.
  2. Bad Tracking And Skew Cuts

Good tips but what do you think is happening in the photo i posted. Perfectly alligned at the start. reads the opos marks and comes back like that. Brand new machine. Been on the phone with summa for 3 hours today (fantastic customer support by the way) All caliberations done. Still the same...
  3. Bad Tracking And Skew Cuts

Don't bother spending $1000 on 2 pinch wheels they wont make any difference anyway. I have them. The image here shows a print file after cutting. Before cutting these marks were aligned perfectly on the cut strip and this is how they end up. This is on a Summa S2 T series cutter Just stay well...
  4. Summa S2 T Series Dog Muck

They are replacing the opos sensor so hopefully that fixes things.
  5. Summa S2 T Series Dog Muck

Thank you for the suggestion but the segmenting doesnt even come close to lining up on the next set of marks (cuts)
  6. Summa S2 T Series Dog Muck

Opos marks are every 30cm. Jobs cut off on a 60cm length sheet, then it will cut out a 2metre long sheet perfectly. The machine IS kiss cutting at the moment. Tables on either side of the cutter. We have been using roll cutters to do this type of work for over 10 years with no issues.
  7. Summa S2 T Series Dog Muck

Also never ever been able to even read a barcode. Media has been caliberated, opos has been caliberated.
  8. Summa S2 T Series Dog Muck

Cuts a job out mm perfect, next job 10mm off near the last opos mark. Next job 10mm off on the oppiosite corner, next job perfect. Exact same media exact same settings. Similar job length. I dont know. It doesnt seem like some minor tweek in the settings to be honest.
  9. Summa S2 T Series Dog Muck

Well i still stand by what i said. Opos being replaced because nobody can figure out what is going on here. Sorting vectors - directional makes it cut about an inch off by the way.
  10. Summa S2 T Series Dog Muck

No we just run 1 cut file with 2 passes on flexi. Using the 60 degree sandblast blade. I cant find the minimal media movement setting / option?
  11. Summa S2 T Series Dog Muck

The material is 22 mil, we use the 2 pass method (well on other cutters anyway) so that the force does not have to be as high as 1 single pass. The 1st pass flex cuts the material the 2nd then only has to flex cut the backing.I have ordered 2 extra pinch rollers at a massive expense in the hope...
  12. Summa S2 T Series Dog Muck

Thank you. I will give that a go. :-)
  13. Summa S2 T Series Dog Muck

I have the black nose peice in. Put around 100 jobs through it trying to get the caliberation right and just wont work. Speed / acceleration is on 50 the slowest it can be. Mimaki Roland Graphtec can all do this yet the "best" cutter cant? I have been told to get the extra pinch wheels but to be...
  14. Summa S2 T Series Dog Muck

No option to raise the blade during up time. Scratches laminated media. Constantly have to turn it off because of screen freezes.
  15. Summa S2 T Series Dog Muck

Flex cut. We need to do 2 passes. Will not work. Does not cut accurately. Mimaki, Roland, Graphtec can all do this. Summa cannot. I dont care if it is highly reccomended. I care about it working and it doesnt. So reccomend it all you like, it wont make it better.
  16. Summa S2 T Series Dog Muck

Wow i actually spent 10 grand on this peice of garbage. I have had alot of cutters in my time. Rolad Mimaki Graphtec But this is a peice of dog muck. Worst performing out of any of them. I dont want a debate about it. If you are buying a cutter do not get this one. Do not listen to the sales...
  17. Summa S2 not lifting knife high enough

BUT is there a way to raise the knife like the poster asked, the graphtec has this option. Is it availabe on these cutters or not?
  18. FC8600 what a gem

Yes i suppose i do. Sorry old girl.
  19. FC8600 what a gem

Well i figured out the problem. When printing our jobs in flexi, in the labels and marks section there is an option to "add margin" This was set to 0, I must have changed it in the default set up somehow. i set it to 2mm and now seems fine. Hope this helps anybody else having these issues.
  20. FC8600 what a gem

We cut with 2 passes on thick laminated material, and both passes cut in exactly the same place so i am guessing it is not the pinch rollers otherwise it would be off on the second pass. Rollers were changed about a month ago and we always keep the grit rollers clean because of the nature of...
