I'd try cutting this over the cut strip. You'll get better cut quality - especially on small letters.

Can you post a picture of the loaded media before you send the barcode and a picture of the plotter when you position the cutting head to read the barcode? If the plotter passed the calibration, it should do this just fine.

As White Haus says - any reputable laminator will do it. Look at a GFP or Kala. These are both top notch and will adjust the nip infinitely to any size. The GFP is manual and the Kala has motors that lift and adjust the nip.
