  1. Repainting large logo murals on exterior concrete walls - first time- help!

"Murals" ? To me they're just painted block letters on a wall. A mural I'd suggest has a pictorial element, not simple direction or identification text. I'd suggest you pass on the job in this instance, to someone with experience. It sounds like there is far too much you need to know about...
  2. Need Help Hp latex l260 Disk recovery

Did you check the service manual?
  3. HP L260 Disassembled

Thanks , that's impressive, but 54ft x 7 ft? It wasn't a banner then - did you do some overlapping?
  4. Need Help Printhead Clogging HP L25500

Daily clogging is weird... we could leave our 25500 turned off for 4 weeks, turn it on again and it would be ok.
  5. Suggestions Best paint or coating to laser away

Your answer is "what paint will stick to the substrate?" Because ablating it away is not the problem, but making sure the stuff left behind does not fall off in use. Metal primers, wood primers... do your homework. Krylon is a very specific chemical concoction, made to have superior properties...
  6. Why would 3M 7725 be used for a city spec?

7725 lasts phenomenally well. I've had signs out in the full weather since the year 2000, in orange and green, and they still look ok.
  7. HP L26500 Onyx 10 install

I have the Print inst file for version 12.05, for the L26500, but it's 349 meg. (Not version 10 though.) Surely you can still download it from HP ?
  8. Help Identifying Large Old Channel Letter Font

It looks to me like it was inspired or based on BT Arrus - the font! (I've drawn and painted it enough times to recognise those uneven top serifs...)
  9. Question Anyone selling HP L25500? Anyone purchased HP L25500?

So you are not using Wasatch on the L365? How did you like it for the 26500 ? (I've just been offered a free v5.1.1 dongle and DVDs)
  10. Cut Vinyl vs Printed Vinyl...

The advantages in using cut vinyl on OTHER substrates is longevity, especially if using cast vinyl. I did some local Landcare signs in 1999 here, using 3M 7725 cast vinyl. 21 years later in full sun all day they still look good, and not appreciably faded. The local council did some in...
  11. Best Software or plugin for artwork nesting

I've used E-cut for some 8-10 years, and find it very useful, especially for lasering in acrylic. It's great. Of course it won't nest a file in which all shapes are grouped or compounded- that translates as one item. They need to be separated to be able to be moved by the software.
  12. Are the cheap vinyl cutters worth it?

You could buy a dremel, a mirror, and try and do your own dentistry... Don't undervalue the years of theory, experience and product knowledge those who know what they are doing, have. I've lost count of the number of times I've walked through shopping centres and seen staff trying to apply vinyl...
  13. Need Help Horizontal Issues HP l25500

I hope it was just about free, or they paid you to take it. Parts are going to be super-scarce, unless you scrounge two spares to be sacrificial donors, and get extra stock of heads and inks and head cleaning cartridges and ink waste buckets. PS It looks line new heads are in order Do a head...
  14. Question Thoughts on buying a used HP L26500

Forget heat transfers. I've not had a shirt with a digitally printed heat transfer that lasted. Either the ink fades, or the transfer peels - way too soon - as well as feeling clammy like thick plastisols. We still use out L26500, and have 30 cartridges & 10 heads spare, so hope to get my...
  15. Old HP L25500

I've still got about 8 ink cartridges and as many heads. spare. I'm almost tempted to try them in the L260 when I eventually run out of stuff for it.

    for $48, I'm thinking it's a paper banner!
  17. News Hp latex l26500 life extension

Thanks. I have 2 spare ink buckets, just bought 3 head cleaning paper roll cartridges, and still have 28 ink cartridges, and about 8 heads, and bought 1 belt, so I need to get more life from it !
  18. Downsaving

I'd be getting the client to fix their own problem... How complex is it that you can't recreate it from a basic idea?
  19. Import PDF file into CorelDraw and one name changes....

Cue the background music to X-files....
  20. CNC Routing Clear Acrylic

Nearly $2000 for that 3/8 polishing cutter! Wow. Amazing results, if your machine is perfectly rigid, but at what cost...
