  1. SG-300 TR2 Upgrade White Gaps & Banning

You're missing nozzles. That's the cause of your white lines - not any RIP settings. It also appears that your heads are misaligned. Have you performed the Detailed Media gap adjustment? Final thought is that the upgrade pushes a lot of ink through the heads. If you have well used heads, it...
  2. Need Help Captop Gap check issues

You mentioned the pump, but have you replaced the captops? If they are old, they can wick the ink out of the heads. When in the capped position, they should both be tight against the heads - and your right head does look to be installed incorrectly. Try reseating it.
  3. Kawasaki Green

It will be tough to hit unless you have green ink in your printer.
  4. Anyone know where to get these?

    Thanks Jimbug!
  5. Anyone know where to get these?

Anyone have a source for these wire catch baskets? Thanks for any help.
  6. Gerber FX Print Issue

Those metallic foils have a powder on the back. Make sure you clean the printhead with the cleaning cards between every job when using shiny gold or silver. Also firing file is a good idea as well. Good Luck
  7. VersaWorks 6... what happened to the overprint button?

It's under quality settings now. In the details section.
  8. Laminator Troubles

Something is unbalanced. If you're sure you're loading it straight, and you start out with even tension on the laminate all the way across, then something else is crooked. Is this attached to a take-up? If so is that straight? If everything is truly straight, unload everything and slowly...
  9. Need Help SG2 300, ROLAND - Grainy Prints - Any suggestions?

Can you post your nozzle test print?
  10. Roland True Vis VG2 540

There are two ways of looking at it Cosmo, 1. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Or, 2. Keep up with the latest and greatest. - both have advantages. There are occasions when a firmware update will break something, but for the most part, I've found Roland's firmware updates to be improvements -...
  11. Please help me get this tubing

It only comes on a 50 meter roll now and costs over $1000 for the roll. The tricky part is that it needs to be highly solvent resistant as well as very flexible. If you can live without the choke valve - which doesn't get used very often, you could bypass it with normal ink tubing.
  12. Ceramic Coating Removal

You'll probably have to buff it off. You could check with the shop that applied it for him to be sure.
  13. Roland True Vis VG2 540

Actually, the most reliable connection will be the simplest. There is no need for a router. If you have a good cable, set your printer IP to something totally different than your local area network. Use something like 10.10.10.10, with a subnet of 255.255.255.0 and no gateway or 0.0.0.0 for...
  14. why god does this buckle constantly?

Banner will always buckle more easily than a paper/vinyl sandwich. You can tell that by holding to pieces in your hand. There are generally 2 things that will cause the buckling - #1 is heat, i generally tell people to turn it down 5 degrees C and this usually stops it. The second would be...
  15. Floor graphic coming up after 1 month

When you don't install a floor graphic according to the manufacturer's instructions, you've only got yourself to blame. And if a fall happens because someone trips over this, the liability will fall all on you. Follow the manufacturer's instructions to the letter. Don't add to it and don't...
  16. Question Gerber Edge II Printing Problem

Blown pixels and debris that is stuck on the head will most often leave a horizontal unprinted line. Random unprinted surfaces are usually dirty vinyl or platen and could also be caused by poor electrical contacts as mentioned above. The surface needs to be clean and smooth for the foil to...
  17. Settings in Cut/Plot.

That will call up the cut condition (Graphtec's terms) from the plotter before it sends that job. So if you set up conditions for normal vinyl, laminated vinyl, reflective vinyl, perf cut, etc. you can use the right settings in the plotter for the job.
  18. Neither Graphtec Nor Zund See Marks Printed on Some Materials

I doubt that you'll see improvements to an old version of their RIP. Their on V21 now. I would look into Cut Master 4 and see if there is a workflow there to meet your needs. Cutting master allows for reverse color reg marks. Then you can print from any RIP and cut out of cutting master. I've...
  19. DOTS ON THE SOLID COLORS

Have you tried another known good image? Does it do the same thing?
  20. DOTS ON THE SOLID COLORS

Looks like the calibrations are off to me, but I don't know the Ricoh printers at all.
