  1. SP-300 - New printhead?

As mentioned above, that is a good amount of deflection. I would recommend doing a 48 hour head soak and see if you get any improvement. If not, I believe you can probably get away with just replacing the C/K Head and keep the current M/Y head. A good spot to get a new head would be...
  2. Roland SP-300v Print Heater not working

The heater itself rarely ever goes, therefore I'd start with the thermostat first, if that doesn't work, try the heater board. If you need exact help figuring out how to change either, let me know and I'll try to guide you through it.
  3. Which Roland printer/cutter to purchase?

Sure, the only downside I have on this printer is that it's a 1 head machine. The reason I prefer it, is the speed and quality, it gives me better quality then my SG-300 does and is faster. You can also get it in different color configurations, we have the CMYK x2 setup, which gives you a bit of...
  4. Onyx 21 Roland Print Driver Crashing

I'm not familiar with Onyx, however, it could just be that the SP-300V is too old of a printer and isn't compatible with the newer version of Onyx. I know for VersaWorks, the new 6 doesn't support the SP-300V. I have to use the old VW5 to use my SP-300V's, but run my newer VS-300i & SG-300...
  5. Which Roland printer/cutter to purchase?

If you want new, go with the SG3-300, however the service menu is locked out. If you want something used, the VS-300i would the my personal choice and recommendation.
  6. Question Xc-540 print head failing?

As mentioned, that looks like head damage, however, you could start with a 48 hour head soak to see if it will revive, however, more then likely a new head is needed.
  7. Need Help I bought an R5070, and I need help

As mentioned earlier, I wouldn't put on a permanent adhesive for a temporary thing. Find a better suited removable adhesive media. Maybe talk to your local dealer and see what they have at a reasonable price point in both vinyl and laminate that are compatible for your printer.
  8. Need Help Roland VS-300i Printhead troubles

Thanks. I did as you suggested and unfortunately, still a no go. I guess I will just wait until we get a new head and see how it works out and go from there.
  9. Need Help Roland VS-300i Printhead troubles

Thanks for that, yes I did try cleaning the encoder strip, unfortunately it didn't help.
  10. Need Help Roland SC-500 - Scan Motor

You might be able to find a 3rd party one on sign-in-china.com, might even have a OEM one, never know. If you have the part number, you can always google it and see what comes up.
  11. Need Help Roland VS-300i Printhead troubles

Hi, thanks for your reply. I did do it and it printed a bit blurry as well, on both high and low, but I typically only print on low height, due to the better quality.
  12. Need Help Roland VS-300i Printhead troubles

Good morning, Yes I did powerful cleaning and I did manually pull ink through. There isn't an issue with getting the ink to the head, the issue I am currently having his the overspray, not sure if the head is just even more dead then when I took it out to replace with the head that fried or if...
  13. Is this a sign of my printhead(s) dying and needing to be replaced

I'm not familiar with this model, so I may not be much help, but I would recommend the basics if not already done. Play around with the settings, print speed, heating, bi-directional vs. uni-dir., maybe try a different profile all together. If this is something you've done before, maybe check to...
  14. Need Help Roland VS-300i Printhead troubles

Hi folks, I try to help everyone on here as much as I can and I consider myself pretty knowledgeable when it comes to Roland Printers. However, now I have a bit of a dilemma myself and am hoping for those with more knowledge then I, might have some insight for me. I think I know what the issue...
  15. Is this a sign of my printhead(s) dying and needing to be replaced

Good morning, Doesn't seem to be any photos attached. I would recommend attaching a nozzle test print, along with the photos of the banding, as well as let us know what model printer you have.
  16. Lines in my print?

    Sounds good. Happy printing.
  17. Lines in my print?

Depending how often you use the machines, I typically recommend doing a regular clean once a day and manual cleaning weekly if using frequently, if not used often, a medium cleaning at least once a week and manual cleaning bi-weekly. Looks like there is still some graininess in the prints, might...
  18. VS-540 Not Printing Test Print

I don't really think there are silly questions. To answer your question, it wouldn't be those lines you'd connect to but rather the ones after the cap top, which is the part the head sits on. You'll need to remove that cover around the cap top to reach them, as well as reach the pump.
  19. VS-540 Not Printing Test Print

As mentioned by others, I would attach a syringe to one of the lines after the cap top and clamp off the other, then pull ink through. Once you have the lines filled, try a test print again.
  20. SP540V not printing 1 color

It does look like there is some sort of blockage on the one side of the head.
