thanks. i offered to paint the vent and they even have a guy in the yard that does the painting for them on trucks and forklifts but they opted out. it seems they just want to get the logo on there as big as possible and get them on the road. (back out making money) and i did have a little more...
here is what i ended up with. not terrible but definitely not the best lay out.
didn't want to paint the vent and i told them not sure how long the vinyl will stay on there.
i will letter or decal what ever they want to pay for. i have been going through this for years and done trying to get them to do what looks good. just wanted some help on the lay out on this one.
not every job is going to be fun and your most artistic work have to pay the bills.
our LEJ uv printer is not reading the material size correctly when it sets up. it's reading bigger by 1/2"-1" bigger.
found out there is a manual alignment correct (i think that's what it was called) anyone know how to do this?
or some sort of manual alignment for the sensor?
that's pretty much the routine make big letters, cram them all over the truck, invoice and get paid. and i don't see the advantage to wrapping the trucks like some had mentioned (unless i am missing something, which is possible) because all he wants on there is MARJAM so why wrap?
you got that right..haha.
the rest of the truck is covered with the same logo. it's insane. on the hood, on the sides of the cab, on the bulk head, on the front above the grill on the wind sheild visor, on the boom two sides and the bottom.
Should be fine if you just change the material profile. You picked a profile for material that normally can't be cut.
Very important make sure you only change the material. Don't hit the material size button or it will screw up your alignment.
had a big job for a customer. silhouette cut outs with some posters and foam board prints.
we can't do the silhouette cut outs and the foam board prints would have slowed up our production too much. so we sent the order to the big guys with the tools to do it right and fast.
merritt worked with...
i agree with everything you all said and unfortunately the customer's response is usually "you know i am the owner right?" so i just do what he askes, it looks like crap and then i send out an invoice and then he sends a check so it's all good. i have no problem giving him what he wants. they...
i have this customer that i do their fleet and as i redo and letter new trucks the owner keeps asking for bigger lettering which i try to accommodate as best i can but what he doesn't understand is some trucks just don't allow what he wants. case in point see attached pic. i originally did this...
+1 to leaving it on 24-7. the cleaning cycles and ink circulation help keep the lines and heads from clogging.
as far as the profiles we have been getting by with the stock or preloaded versa works profiles for 10+ years and haven't had any issues. sometimes with a specialty media we have a...
Don't know the exact %'s but we use fellers, tyrrell tech, n. Glantz, harborsales and nazdar. Each has their own specialty or pricing on certain items so we use them all.
sorry to hear the bad news but one good thing is they have come a long way with back surgeries. hope everything works out. it will be a long bumpy road but stay positive.
as everyone else said if you have any questions or need help figuring anything out we are all here.
had back surgery 15...
i am surprised no one came out with the "it's avery that's why!"...haha
but... i had the same problem years ago and i just chaulked it up a s bad roll of material so i just didn't buy that anymore.
i tried multiple settings and nothing worked.
was getting similar issues but it didn't happen with...
glad to hear the majority are busy and i wish the rest some good luck going forward. i know for us the biggest thing is we aren't locked in to one thing this way if one dept/area slows down the other picks up the slack. over all the whole company is very busy. left the office at 3:30 to do an...
