  1. Foam Cleaning Swabs?

Try Harmony Business Supplies. 9"x9" Polyester wipes - $28.99 for 150 wipes.
  2. New Printer

Even if something is warped, you can still print on it. The quality will definitely drop, but depending on what you're printing, you'll never notice it. This plaque was about 1/4" higher on the front left corner than on the back right corner. It was warped and did not sit flat on the table. With...
  3. Need Help Switching from HP Latex 360 to Epson S80600??

We have two S80600 printers. I would call the prints near photo quality. It puts out very smooth, colorful prints due to the small droplet sizes and light inks as well as red and orange inks. There is definitely a solvent odor, especially when printing full coverage with high ink densities...
  4. Strange pixel issue will fill in photoshop cc 2015.5

Your layer blend mode is set to "Dissolve".
  5. Epson S80600

The company who installed our printers gave us a bunch of profiles they made. I'm surprised that your dealer didn't do the same.
  6. Invisible art??

Not to be a downer, but: Lana Newstrom, Invisible Artist : snopes.com Still funny, though.
  7. Need Help Has anyone Purchased the new S60600 printer

The 80600 is a 10 color machine, the 60600 is dual CMYK. We have a S80600 at both of our locations, and we like them. We've only had 1 major problem with one of the printers - an ink connection was not tightened down properly from factory, and yellow ink leaked out. We were down for 2 days...
  8. Paint for wood substrates

You could probably paint it with just about any paint if it is interior use. Unless you use some really exotic paint, I doubt you'll have problems with the ink not sticking if that's what you're worried about.
  9. New Printer

Another +1 for a true flatbed. I'm a bit skeptical that a hybrid could pull a 2" wood blank through the printer. Another issue with hybrids is tracking as the part is pulled through. Supposedly the HP's are fairly good in this regard, but you'll get far better placement accuracy with a flatbed...
  10. Mutoh just not getting it done with the reds

We switched from Mutoh to Epson SC80600 printers. Those printers have orange & red inks, so they can do awesome reds & oranges (of course!) So, if you really want bright reds, look for a printer with red or orange inks. I think there are a few besides Epson that offer those colors.
  11. Océ 1200 vs hp fb550

Oce will have better print quality than the HP, especially if you are running the HP with white ink all the time. The HP print heads are older, and only have one 15pl drop size. They do have LC & LM inks by default, which makes up for the single droplet size. However, to run white, you have to...
  12. Z-Axis 4"+

I just measured our CET, and it has a max head height of a bit over 4 1/16". That gives clearance for a 4" part plus a 1/16" head gap.
  13. Z-Axis 4"+

CET, Vanguard Digital, and Flora are a few manufacturers off the top of my head that make 4x8 flatbeds with 4" capability. We have a CET 5x10 that we like.
  14. Epson S80600

I know we get slight banding in certain solid colors at 4 pass, but you have to be close to tell. We run our most wrap jobs at 6 pass, little decals and stuff at 4 pass, and signage at 4 or 6 pass depending on the file.
  15. CET Ink-dont switch to mosaic

I'm definitely going to do a test & comparison before doing a switch. Those pantone colors are going on my test document. Same here. Better gamut, better adhesion, better elasticity. Also, the same price as the 96 series, which is almost 70% of the price it was a year ago. And the conversion...
  16. What is the best way to make a editable list of files on your computer?

From the command prompt, you can use the command dir>files.txt and you will get a file named "files.txt" in the current folder, with the output of the dir command for that folder.
  17. Epson S80600

We just bought two of them - one for each of our locations. They were replacing a Mutoh VJ-1614 and VJ-1624. We really like them - they're a lot faster and have a much higher gamut compared two our old printers. You can get really nice reds out of them. We run a lot of decals at 4 pass, which is...
  18. Image voids when printing on clear acrylic? How to prevent?

Going by your description of "White_INVERSE", I think you'll end up with the exact opposite of what you are getting now - white ink only where there is no color ink. It looks like "Bounding Box" is your best bet out of the options you list, without creating a spot color.
  19. Image voids when printing on clear acrylic? How to prevent?

What white ink print options do you have? Our CET has a number of options, but the relevant options here are "Middle Layer" and "Middle Layer of Image". Basically, "Middle Layer" prints color/white/color with white behind the entire print job area - even margins, cutter registration marks, etc...

LF = Large Format? It makes sense, anyway.
