Did you mean design in RGB? You are supposed to design in RGB...and Third Party ink is where the money is at if you print a lot.
We create our own profiles and noticed at least with Flexi 12 that if you select gray balance when creating a profile that it really helps out....the purple means...
Here you need this one. It's where a lot of suppliers get their parts.....however on the XR model it would be worth it's weight in gold to have the dealer install the head especially if its under warranty but assume it's not if your asking here......if you are a novice at installing...
Call summa so they can sell you the required amount of over priced pinch rollers you actually need to hold down the material properly instead what they actually supply with their new cutters..... plus slow things down and calibrate it properly. Add a good amount of bleed to your prints too if...
First off the imac is better than the mac mini hands down specs wise. Yes you can get them all to work on a mac mini but your rep is wrong. Second off....get a used X-rite device off ebay...you can pick the slightly older ones up for $300 ish. Sit down with a few rolls and learn how to make...
Sometimes lowering the heater settings can help especially with aftermarket ink that tends to dry faster than oem. Make sure there isn't a ton of tension on the rear media coming off the roll. Also you can check calibration settings with a few test.
Call your dealer....it maybe a setting inside the rip where it chooses a gap between jobs or start of job. We had the same problem we thought with the soljets spacing out too much but it was because of a heater setting enabled.
With the bend in the nozzles you appear to have a head strike. If you can force cleaning solution through the top while looking at the bottom it will help. Matt is right, these heads are junk...some last longer than others but Roland is ditching this head setup.
They are nice but I think summa deliberately doesn't give enough pinch rollers on their cutters thus forcing you to pay hundreds of dollars per pinch roller on top of the retail price to obtain that perfect tracking....most don't figure this out until it's unboxed and setup in your shop.
Summa DC4 for sale. We acquired it from another company sale and have no use for it. We were told it has very low usage. This is for the printer only. We were told there maybe some cartridges included but not %100 sure. There is no software but it can be ran from Flexi without issue. If you are...
You will be fine...if you get in a pinch and don't feel comfortable just order the parts from sign in china and have the dealer come out to install your parts and pay attention the tech....you are more than likely going to have to do some head alignment calibrations afterwards which is the other...
There is only one company and one place that makes DX4 Epson print heads and that is Epson Japan. There is no such thing as Epson DX4 print heads "Made in China" They are all made in Japan and the Chinese import them. If there WAS an aftermarket DX4 the prices would be much lower probably. There...
change the encoder strip and the sensor that reads it on the carriage board. Also pull head carriage to the left in maintenance mode and then take a plastic cleaning swab up against the back of the heads and see if there is a gap. Don't use a metal ruler. I had the overlapping too heads were out...
+1 for trying flexi 12 also. They are on the subscription model per month cancel anytime so no huge upfront cost. They finally got the barcode option working with the summa too which is a cool feature.
I suggest sitting down and reading the manual completely on the Summa cutter a few times. We have had our tracking issues with them but not this issue. Out of the box Summa could have put more pinch rollers on the machines instead of making you cop out $300usd+ per pinch roller to add on after...
How many print hours are on the machine?
Did it to this before heads were replaced?
Put a new encoder in and encoder sensor on the carriage.
Clean your carriage rail both top and bottom with oil.
Check tension on the carriage belt.
After new encoder and sensor though it should fix the problem.
I thought opos cam wouldn't work with anything but summa software because of the opos camera itself. All the other models do work with onyx. Correct me if I am wrong.
