The printer manufacturer probably tells you how long the inks should last both with and without lam.
The amount of UV exposure will be the main factor.
Good inks should last up to 3 years unlaminated. With a lam that has UV inhibitors that should extend to 5 yrs +.
Depends a lot on the laminate.
We just needed a vinyl like that with black adhesive - one of our suppliers sells Ritrama - they have a couple of black adhesive varieties.
We got a momomeric that did the job. It wouldn't print on latex which was weird so had to use the eco sol and lam them.
In Rip Queue click the current media and page size gear icon and select custom page size.
Set to whatever size you want - then it will split the job up into pages that size.
Cold dry air here now. Pulling the liner off PVC sheets we get shocks through the feet to the floor.
I supposed you've tried rolling the liner up onto a core like bannertime suggested.
I could be wrong but I think if the take up is turned on at the front panel it spools out enough media to tape on before you start printing. Top tip: turn it off on the front panel - it still works. You just have to wait till it gets down to the takeup reel.
I've used Onyx for years and have never used Layout Tool.
You can set the Rip up to run with hot folders or through a web browser so there is little user intervention required.
