First off, I hope you had a deposit before you did the layout.
Secondly, welcome to what has happened to a once-proud trade.
Third, I wouldn't be nice to someone who was trying to cheap me out and potentially steal a design that they shopped around to some hack doing it for pennies.
Be sure...
Can anyone ID this for me? I need to make some replacement numbers
(and also stretch and squish them, apparently but hey...)

I assume (and believe me, I'm really assuming as I do not deal with wraps or perf) that because the window is curved, the vinyl must also be cut to a curve.
Like when I am cutting a vynull window banner (which thankfully I rarely do) I always distort the word into a smile shape, because if you...
Actually, what bugs me the most is the insistence on using abbreviations.
Why they always abbreviate the most important word...VOLUNTEER...is beyond me.
I can paint anything, so the font part is not a problem.
Personally I am so over dealing with fire departments that I could puke.
All that...
I just lettered a small honours board that I stained first, and I cleared it with Minwax Spar Polyurethene. It did not change the color of my stain, only enhanced it.
I lettered it with Ronan gold ultraleaf waterbased, and I did have to double-coat it.
You will have to seal that with something...
The only thing I don't like is that there are two guns on a shirt that reads ONE SHOT, it only needs one gun, in the center on the bottom.

I was taught to never arch caps and lower case lettering. Maybe try it in all caps with a slumped-in bottom.
66 is too weak and skinny.
I see no need for the city name, especially how you've placed it.

Good Lord!
(regarding her signs)
In the future, as has been said, take a camera with you and document everything if you ever notice something amiss.
People like the crazy lady rarely follow up on their threats.
I once had a real jerk threaten to sue me because his wife did not like his $50...
I like the last one, but with the graphic solutions in all lower case and left justifed with the name.
I's like to see the lettering non-italic.

Bob, I know, I was getting kind of rusty. I think I messed up on the varying slants in the script. Then I had to re-do the drunken hunter one after I found out I had made a phrasing mistake.
Luckily paint wipes off fairly easy.
As for drying time, it usually is only a few hours...
All hand lettered.
Third-to-last pix also feature a before and after type thing showing some old bad vinyl on a truck a client purchased, which I re-lettered with Ronan paint.
Last photos are a before-n-after of a sandblasted sign I was contracted by a friend's sign company to repaint.
I'd look into trying NOVA paint.
(When I do make them, I prime after blasting then do the background and finally the lettering, no masking because I fricking hate masking)

I got a Graphtec because my 4E was getting fritzy. I have a 4E and a 4B for sale for $500 with all the stuff that goes with them including GA 6.2.
The 4E was working when I stopped using it but has sat for over two years. Maybe you could use them both to repair your 4B. Not sure how much to...
GERBER SIGNMAKER 4B and 4E- can be used as parts plotters or may be cleaned up and combined into one working plotter. Both purchased used, 4B has its guts stripped out and uses LMK module.
Theta belt replaced on 4E. Includes Graphix Advantage 6.2 software & manuals,LMK Module (works with up to...
