  1. Anyone Recognize This As A Font?

Reminds me of Slipstream http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/itc/slipstream/ But it's not. Love....Jill
  2. Reflective sign options

I wouldn't offer the customer as many options as you've listed. I'd offer them either red & black reflective on a plain white blank, or a reflective print applied to a blank. (that could be the entire thing being reflective (overkill) or just the lettering) I think a reflective real estate...
  3. What was the update number that messed up everyone's fonts?

Thank you. So it's OK to update with wild abandon?
  4. What was the update number that messed up everyone's fonts?

I turned off updates after this happens (yes I am on WinXP) But after April, XP will no longer be updated. I kinda want to get the other updates I've missed since then. I know that after the font incident happened I had to go look into my add/remove area and remove that particular update...
  5. Running Club

I just think a name sounds better than initials. But maybe they could be worked in.
  6. Running Club

Nothing about that suggests a beautiful reservoir. Looks like a bunch of clip art thrown together. There are conflicting angles and squished text. I don't see why the reservoir, whether it's on both sides or whatever, really matters at all. Can it be a name rather than the focus on some...
  7. Taking my dog for her last walk around the lake.

You're in my thoughts. It's so sad when we lose a beloved pet. Love....Jill
  8. Welcome our newest member: Glenn...

Hello from Pennsylvania. I'm in my 28th year, and I started out using craft brushes from the hardware store before I discovered that there was such a thing as a real sign painter's brush. I've branched out to cut vynull but I still paint. Getting more into the design aspect of things at this...
  9. New Truck Lettering

Thank you. I had someone tell me "I love your new vinyl" :Big Laugh And while I love my fella for cleaning the snow from my truck on Sunday, he scraped off the bottom of my "J"! Who scrapes a back window? Hope that today is warm enough to repair it, luckily it's just regular ivory and not a...
  10. Back Door Wrap thoughts??

Edited to remove my suggestion. I was trying to be nice. This, friends, is what the sign business has evolved into, a clueless person looking for help, and when given advice, kicks the helper. Carry on with your bad self.
  11. Font help please.

    Thank you!
  12. Font help please.

Ha! What a gift, huh! Thank you.
  13. Last batch before I leave the trade.

Jim, this sucks (that you're leaving) but I completely understand and I don't blame you one bit. Sad to see that talent be laid aside but it's what happens these days now that signs have become a mere commodity. Love....Jill
  14. Back Door Wrap thoughts??

(constructive advice removed...figure it out on your own like most of us do) The whole thing looks like a hot mess, even a regular flag like everyone else has would look better than that mash-up of colors and weird fonts. Love....Jill
  15. Font help please.

I know the GYM is Aachen. (so is my brain) Subcopy looks Eurostil-ish. What is SOX and the Glade Run parts, if you please? (and yes, I know it's hideous) :thankyou::signs101: Love....Jill
  16. What does everyone think of this? Sign Concept...

I can see why you used the fonts and style so I won't go on about the weird kerning. But I'd put the "50" part on the left side so you read it first, and change the color of the lettering in the bar on the bottom to white so it shows up better. Looks more like a business card than a sign...
  17. Branding concept for Distillery

At the very least try using a better free font than Algerian. http://www.dafont.com/hominis.font There are also some gorgeous fonts here: http://www.losttype.com/browse/ For a very small donation or for free. Algerian really, really sucks.
  18. Branding concept for Distillery

I'm really shocked that in this day and age you would use Algerian. The tagline font is equally awful. There are sooo many totally cool old style fonts out there. I particularly love this semi-local distillery's labels. http://www.ellenjaye.com/hist_mono3overholt.htm Love....Jill
  19. Decided to go with a different name...new logo

...also lose the big fat squished "I" in the background (if that's what it is) Less is more.
  20. Decided to go with a different name...new logo

To be honest, it has a very generic, "computery" feel. Definitely make Signs and Designs a bolder font, perhaps a serif font, something more friendly/less cold looking. What you do (to me) is more important than the name. Love....Jill
