Since there was a big discussion here last week about it notice that the Author's Notes below it say it's free for personal use and links to the commercial version.
I have no doubt that was part of it but come on....if you're gonna make a statement flying across the country to deliver a couple of banners is a pretty loud statement.
Do I think it was overboard and unnecessary? Completely. Am I gonna forget it? Not any time soon.
I'm very happy with the printing and finishing from them and their reliability.
I'm updating this post just to link to the conclusion of how this worked out in case somebody sees it later...

I like dealing with Signs365 because their website is easy as heck to order from, their prices are good, and their quality is good. I take advantage of Same Day banner production a good bit because it's made me pretty competitive with local shops with printers. I place 3-4 orders a week with...
We used to do all the work for a huge music festival in town. Never failed that the two weeks before were 16-18 hour days. They were literally dumping stuff on us as fast as they could come up with it. By the time the festival actually got here the last thing I wanted to do was show up.
3mm Coro - no problem
10mm Coro - several passes plus changing the blade depth
2mm Sintra - couple of passes
,060 Styrene - score and snap
Acrylic - Turn the blade over so that the square edge, not the sharp edge, is on the plastic. Score several times and snap
Now that I think about it I'm pretty sure every time I've done that the other shop pretty much said "Screw that guy, you can have him, he's a pain in the ***."
