I thought it was different too, but the parts list says the current replacement works for everything except the 1618 and 2606.
DF-49684 Print Head assembly
Just FYI the VJ1204, 1204AS, 1604, 1614, and 1608 are listed as having the same printhead replacement part from Mutoh.
We have only seen one High Heat error, replaced the printhead and it was resolved. I would guess you got a factory defective replacement head or you shorted the head...
Broken tip on the blade... replace it with a new one and you can back that pressure back down.
Also, you might try a Roland 60 degree blade if you are cutting alot of laminated material. Roland part number USA-C160-1, should come in a box with a Roland sticker!

Also, try the same trick on the window perf using a...
Had a used one come through here some time ago. We cleaned it up and ran it for about 3 months in our demo room while it was for sale. Seemed like a solid machine, ended up selling it for around 12K.
I thought someone got a steal at that price.

We have tried Fletcher, KleenCut, and panel sawing ACM.
By far the best option is a power shear, smooth edges and no folding of the face! I would think a stomp shear would do an equally nice job.
Make sure you are taking the headrank off the sticker on the head itself, not the package the head came in.
I have seen Epson heads that the format on the box was not the same as the sticker on the head.
