  1. PVC free adhesive films

BBC cites the co-director of Australia's National Centre for Research in Bushfire and Arson as saying that 50% of bushfires each year may be deliberately set. 13% proven arson, 37% suspicious for arson. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-50400851
  2. Hate Thieves

So I saw this news headline that thieves are now stealing signs in Houston. What on earth would you need to take other people's signs for?
  3. PVC free adhesive films

It's still plastic. Just a different one.
  4. Suggestions Zip Change Track to 2 sided ACM

You could rivet through both tracks and the panel all at once. Use some pieces of banner tape to hold the strips of track on, make sure they are exactly positioned, drill, and rivet. Or you could mount each side separately, offsetting the holes from the two sides. The rivets will always be...
  5. insurance practices

Given what they said about the towing company, I bet it has to do with storing somebody else's vehicle inside your property and they don't want to cover the theft or damage to the vehicles.
  6. PVC free adhesive films

I don't think that avoiding petroleum based products is the reason PVC plastics are specified. The non-PVC graphics films are polyurethanes, which ultimately start with toluene or benzene, both derived from crude oil. This is apparently the list of reasons why PVC products are being avoided...
  7. Tailgate trim

It's not smooth under the big Ford ovals. There's an oval indentation usually. Chevy bowties are usually just on the flat. Dodges it varies.
  8. van lettering should i go with the molding line or use a level?

It's not pedantism. When people think of using a level, the usual meaning is to find what is level according to a true horizontal, perpendicular to a plumb. But you are still doing what the majority are advocating, determining how to angle your lettering based on the lines and sweep of the...
  9. van lettering should i go with the molding line or use a level?

Which means you're not really using a level, in terms of leveling to true horizontal, which is what this post is about. You're doing what you should be doing, and referencing something from the body of the vehicle to create the horizontal line to which your graphics are aligned. The fact that...
  10. van lettering should i go with the molding line or use a level?

If I'm reading this right, what you are saying is you don't use a level to put graphics on a van to true level. You establish what is the best looking angle to be the horizontal element according to the lines and rake of the van, and then use a tool to keep it consistent.
  11. Tailgate trim

If the customer wants a wrap on the tailgate we take all the badges off.
  12. What density window perf? 30/70 40/60 50/50?

I think you're getting your numbers backwards. The 50/50 is the most open perf with the largest hole to vinyl ratio. It's what you should be using on vehicles. It also works fine on store windows but they make the 60/40, 65/35, and 70/30 which have a smaller proportion of hole to vinyl, i.e...
  13. Page layout Coreldraw 2019

Did a quick search for the problem, and in addition to the setting I mentioned, apparently you also have to set the origin for guidelines:
  14. Page layout Coreldraw 2019

Did you make it your default? If you don't, then every new layout will have the other numbers.
  15. Page layout Coreldraw 2019

It's just a setting in the Rulers dialog box under Page Layout (Origin). Then once you have it back to 0,0 make it your default.
  16. Gemini Plaque Pricing

Gemini's pricing, as mentioned above, includes a 40% margin. This is supposed to keep the playing field level for anyone selling their products. Above that, you should charge separately for making your sales call, designing the item, processing the job through your shop, and installing and...
  17. Desktop label maker for banners

As long as we're being picky about language, even the Brother web page the OP linked doesn't call them banners. Here's the title of the page, copy and pasted: How do I create a Banner Label using DK-22205 or similar? And at the end of the instructions: Completed label Peel the printed label...
  18. Need Help Who's familiar with Epson Surecolor S50670 ink system?

When I've had that happen, I've had to either remove all the cartridges one by one and push them in and lock, or shut off the printer and then turn it back on.
  19. Would you accept this job? Is it even possible??

I might do it for $25,000
  20. Making a standing banner for our shop, thoughts?

Well this went all pear-shaped in a hurry.
