I have a GRC61. I also purchased it in 1999. Never missed a beat all these years and is still my main vinyl cutter.
I had the same problem as you but could never figure it out so I just used the LTP1 port connection my computer and it's been fine ever since.
If you have a cable for that...
I needed something I could laminate so I went with the avery 2611.
I've printed about 25-30 ft and everything is looking good. The print quality is very nice and it is sticking to every wall I applied it to.
I thought about the phototex but didn't want to spray lam over 125 ft of this stuff...
This doesn't surprise me at all. I've had a few other large suppliers of mine sell directly to my customers. Pretty sad. One was a pinstripe supplier that actually sold products to my customers that they wouldn't sell to me, long story. Anyway, after a good a*# ripping they agreed to sell the...
I put some 2611 on the door and wall last night and it's still sticking to both. The oracal 3268 fell off the door within 3 hours and is still sticking on my wall.

I'm using the 2611 for my project. I have the 3268 as well and did some testing on the walls in my home. It is sticking really well to the wall in my home office, which is fairly smooth with light texture. It's been on there since last night. However, on my office door that is also painted...
LXi is probably similar to flexi. Look for path edit. Several options in flexi include subtract point, add point, optimize curve etc. These will allow you to smooth out your cuts and reduce the points.
Sorry if it's vague answer but I haven't used Lxi for years.

I've done alot of reading on this subject and am seeing people having problems with nearly all brands of wall vinyl. I think it has alot to do with the kind of paint on the wall. There are so many different paints out there.
I have a big project myself and I'm going to test 3268 as well as 3621...
I do it too....oops. Well, I use alittle johnsons baby shampoo and water. Never had a problem. I've been doing it that way for over 15 years. I also own a vehicle I put reflective on wet 5 years ago and it has had no issues.
Never used it to layer the stuff, though.

In versaworks go to edit qeue settings. A or B and go to file format. Set eps margin. mine is at .19 but you can play with that setting if you need to.

Same problem and mine was the cut carriage cable. If I moved the rollers inward it would read the width so as long as you are not printing full width you may get by.
Could be other things as well.
Signs the cable is getting worn is if you hear a "slapping' noise as the printer moves side to...
Josh,
In versaworks in your edit queue settings under file format. Top EPS you need to have a margin set there. Mine is set at .19.
I had that problem along time ago and that fixed it for me.
Just something to check.
