  1. SEALITpen vs 3m 3950 edge sealer?

I use the seal-it pens for sealing the edges of chrome pinstriping and that's about it. John
  2. Problems print Window Mesh

Not sure about the edge detection problem. I print on a Roland SP300V and it came with media clamps that hold down the edges of the media as it passes by the heads. There are long and short versions and I usually use the long ones when printing clear focus perf. Another tip is to allow extra...
  3. Window Tinting

I've been a professional 3M window tint installer for over 16 years. If you haven't learned to heat shink film before you will never get the back glass right. I wouldn't recommend doing this without some schooling and lots of practice. Even some side glass will give a novice fits. John
  4. Horrible Color Printing??? Sp300V

I still think you may have the contamination like jhill states. As my inks get lower and are unequal I get the contamination from suction into the other damper. I usually can use the cleaning button on the printer to get my colors back. If the damper gets contaminated you almost have to flush it...

  8. Horrible Color Printing??? Sp300V

I have the same machine you do. As I stated before, I have used GCVP and PCV2 profiles in versaworks for all my printing. I've printed on mostly oracal vinyls,3M and Avery wall vinyl, all using the same profiles. Never had any color problems. Most if any of my problems came from cross...

  11. Roland SP 300V - error

I received that error and had to set my pinch rollers in alittle to get it to register. I then replaced the cut carriage cable and it fixed my problems. Do you hear a "slapping" noise as the printer makes it's passes? If so, it's generally a weak cut carriage cable causing ther problem. John
  12. Horrible Color Printing??? Sp300V

Have you done a test print to see how your heads are firing? I use versaworks for all my printing and use the profiles, GCVP for calendered vinyl or PCV2 for cast vinyl. John
  13. Wholesale Window Tinting??

I've been professionally tinting with 3M products for over 16 years. It's not something your going to learn over night and have it turn out "like it should". Unless you are real lucky. Sub it out to a professional if you are looking for professional results. John
  14. VersaWorks profile for 3M IJ35c-10

I print on almost everything with the GCVP or PCV2 with my SP300V. If you haven't tried those I'd suggest them. John

  17. Daige solo 55", will pay for instruction.

I got mine used cheap. It works for me. It isn't the best but if your on a budget you can make it work. You just got to know what you are doing, hehe. John
  18. Daige solo 55", will pay for instruction.

I have a 36" daige and have absolutely no trouble laminating. The one thing I noticed right away is you cannot use alot of pressure on the rollers. You will have a little noticeable "silvering" but it will go away, usually in a day or so. I set my rollers so they barely have any pressure on the...

  20. PC60 Colorcamm opinions

I had one for a few years. Served it's purpose for me on smaller decals. Need to keep the head area very clean when printing. I guess for $250 as a cutter you could do worse. John
