I never regretted my 30" Roland. I've had this for several years now and only had to sub out a few larger jobs to a wholesaler that does a great job for me.
It was lightly used when I bought it and I wanted into the printing biz and this was perfect for me to learn on and the price was right...
3551 is definitely going to last longer then the 3651. The 3651 is a great cheaper vinyl for temp signs or some indoor projects. I've used the 3551 on vehicle decals and lettering with good success. On higher end work you should consider cast vinyl but it's even more costly.
If you share what...
MY SP300V prints great on oracal 3651 as well as oracal 3551 and I use alot of 3M IJ40.
I use generic versaworks profiles for all of these with good results.
I buy from Grimco mostly and sometimes from Fellers. there's just not alot of suppliers in my area that can compete with their prices...
Pic is very small but it Looks very similar to the ronan slitters I have. I have 2" and 6" slitters. They do not make those anymore as far as I know.

Ok I've been saved. They just want me to letter the sign now. No installation. Not sure what they are doing and I don't want to know. :)
Thanks for the info, I'm sure it will come in handy on another project.

It's an interior sign in a salon. Just talked to them. They said they may go 24 x 48. How about this size using glass? How many standoffs?
It's an older building. Actually the ceilings in this place are really high.
Thanks for the help.

LOL... I love you guys. Yes, not my idea. Customer already has the plexi and I'm just trying to accomodate them.
I'll see if I can't get them to change their minds :). After I tell them they are going to need 12-15 standoffs they may get the idea!!
How about the standoffs. Do you guys know a...
I have a customer that has a 4'x8' 1/8" plexiglass sign. They want it hung on the wall with one inch standoffs. It will be 4' long by 8' high. My question is how many standoffs do you think are adequate for this size sign. Also, I need a supplier with quality standoffs where I could get them in...
I've done this at several car shows to promote the brands not to profit from them. The local dealers are happy to see their Names Hanging high. Now if you plan on selling hundreds of Ford, Dodge etc. decals for profit they may get alittle upset.

Some of my work comes out similar to this. Nothing wrong with it at all. We can't all be "perfect" every time. Especially in the eyes of others in this biz. If I'm happy with it and my customer is happy that's all that matters to me. It's been working for over 16 years for me. I still learn...
