I just had a look at it too, and there is no mention of vinyl graphics, just "signs". And from what I can see, you even need engineer stamped drawings in some cases?! I would like to think that they're not considering vinyl graphics as a "sign", but who knows. They may have finally fallen off...

We run our XR-640 out of Onyx and now that you mention it we do have a lot of issues with it "running out of space" when there's lots of width to work with. It seems to need to waste almost 2-3" of width so you can only really run 51" ish of jobs then waste the rest of the material. I guess...

Personally I would just guesstimate, but given the fact that you have an estimator and are trying to get super accurate times I'm assuming that wouldn't be good enough. (And probably not ideal if your estimator isn't super familiar with the equipment and doesn't know how much time these things...

Humidity is not a bad thing in a print environment. If you're usually running 15% I'm surprised that's not giving you static etc. issues. We keep our shop/print room as close to 50% as possible all year round.
