  3. 3m wrap film took off paint...

Not a 3m issue, more of a body shop issue. How long does the paint have to sit on the vehicle before we can apply wrap film? I have a charger that we were repairing and we are just doing the front bumper (plastic)...The vinyl ripped off a 1" x 8" paint piece and it goes right down to a black...
  4. Weird stuff going on today....

First off my digital printer stops in the middle of a run and the job is toast as my Flexi program manager shut itself down. This is not such a strange occurrence but the next thing that happened, I have never seen before. I am cutting vinyl on my Graphtec plotter and it is a repetitive logo...

  9. Dry erase dilema

Hey Colin. ND sells SEAL write on erase and it comes on a pale blue paper backer. You can buy it in 12meter rolls I think as well as 300 footers. As for Hexis in Canada, I think all graphics sells the stuff, although I am not sure if they carry the write erase film.
  10. Those nasty masks

It will open in Flexi, but you can't edit any part as it is basically masked...so trying to build a cut line is impossible until all masks are removed...and based on that design, you know there are countless masks. I guess I need to upgrade, but not going to at this point.
  11. Those nasty masks

not an option... I basically turned everything into a bitmap and printed it that way. It has to be the worlds most insane logo and completely unreadable. I will post it
  12. Those nasty masks

I don't know if there is a solution for this but every so often it pops up. I have a file to print and if I open it in Signlab 8 it comes in fine and I can treat it much like any other vectored file. When I send it out as an eps and try to import it into Flexi I get a an error code, probably...
  13. And that's why people don't like the cloud.....

  14. Help a beginner out with dry-erase material?

Your best off to print on a removable adhesive vinyl (3ml)...the adhesive is removable without any glue residue for up to 1 year, then it is permanent....I'm pretty sure general formulations has the stuff. Then you laminate with a dry erase laminate such as Seal... Oh and most importantly...

Man I hate when I forget to check the blacks coming off of illustrator files ( 0 0 0 100 ) prints like rusty dark brown yuck!!!
  19. Multi layered lamination = better UV protection?

it might increase the uv, but will do nothing to increase adhesive adhesion
