Maint station Have you ever changed out the maintenance station. Sounds like the pump may not be pulling down waste ink and you wiper assembly may be full of dried ink.

head Test the fuses on the main board, don't recall their numbers on that old a printer but they may be F1 and F2 You are basicly working on the same ink drive train as a Mutoh Falcon.

DX4 heads As they are currently, the plastic manifold is designed to melt once solvents hit it. Change out the manifold to the solvent style and make sure you flush out all the aqueous inks. Flush with the solution provided by the ink supplier. I have them at www.solventinkjet.com

Tubs How are you sending the bulk ink to the heads. If you are using refillable carts make sure you have them over half full, you may not be getting enough ink to the heads. Switch to all Bordeaux ink in cartridge form and see how you like it, then move on to their bulk bag system if you are...

Paper Is the paper coated for use in a aqueous printer.Those coatings cause problems with non water based inks.
