  5. Pricing out Trailer Wrap HELP!!

$10/square foot is pretty much retail for one box trailer (8' - 16' or so) around here... that's using 3M 180cV3 and 8518/19 lam.
  6. 510g vinyl banner material.

I don't care what kind of material it is. If you received it damaged, send it back. Of course it's not supposed to have a dent in it.
  7. Print head strike disaster!!!

If your heads have that much dried up gunk on them that they need to be soaked, then you should soak them properly... in the capping station. It's easy to do and I described the simplest way to do it above. Yes, the surface of the nozzle plate comes in contact with the wipers... of course it...
  8. Trade Show Displays

You should probably post an introduction and let everyone know who you are, what you do, where you're located, etc. It's pretty likely you're going to get blasted with flame posts before members start giving away their vendor contacts.
  9. P95 Acrylic

Check with a sign or print shop. Where in Texas are you located. I know one or two I could recommend.
  10. Print head strike disaster!!!

I should probably qualify my posts by letting you know that I am not a certified or trained printer tech. I just watched and learned from the tech who has repaired my printer in the past. So, I can tell you that those steps have worked for me... but I don't know what the OP's specific problem is.

Hey Damon welcome to S101. I'll actually be at your shop in the morning to hopefully resolve a nightmare project we're having trouble with.
  13. Confused About Color Management

Ok... so you guys are wayyy over my head. You're making me feel a little inadequate. Long story short. I need to outsource some large flex faces for a lighted cabinet sign. The flex faces need to match the wraps we printed in house for the client's fleet. I learned today that the company we...
  14. Print head strike disaster!!!

Huh?? Are you suggesting an electrical problem is causing the test prints pictured above. That's crazy talk.
  15. Print head strike disaster!!!

Pretty sure you're not supposed to come in contact with the nozzle plate at all. All you're going to do it push garbage back up in the nozzles and risk causing physical damage. I haven't touched the nozzle plate on our printer in 3 years and it's still perfectly fine. Yes, you should clean...
  16. Print head strike disaster!!!

By the way, I refuse to use the take up reel with banner material anymore. It nearly always bunches up at some point and causes potentially terrible issues like the one you are experiencing now. They are banners... we just let them fall onto the ground. The weight of the material keeps from...
  17. Print head strike disaster!!!

I've had the same situation happen to me... with banner material too. You may or may not have permanent damange to your heads. Right now, they really need a ridiculously throrough cleaning before you can determine if there is deflection in the nozzles. First thing you can do is run a bunch of...
  18. Store Front Sign...

These guys are right. Stick with the name of the business for the awning and pylon. You couldn't even read that website standing on the ground in front of the building. The list of services is completely pointlessessess. Red is played out... but I guess it's part of your name, so you probably...
  19. Confused About Color Management

Interesting. So, how can the ink set I'm using have a larger gamut than CMYK when there are 4 ink colors... C, M, Y and K?
  20. Confused About Color Management

Can someone explain to me why I can create a beautiful bright lime green in an RGB Photoshop file, send that file to my CMYK Roland Printer and the green looks just as beautiful and bright. However, with a CMYK Photoshop file I cannot get anywhere close to that shade of green? Obviously the CMYK...
