  6. Please educate me on Flex Faces

Chris, Miratec doesn't fall into the "usually" category. The previous sign company I was at used Miratec occasionally and had great results. Most printers don't have that technology, so "usually" they have to resort to double-striking or 1st and 2nd surface printing (as you know)...
  7. Please educate me on Flex Faces

I agree on the digital printing. It's not a great way to go. Usually it has to be double-struck or printed front and back. Even then, lighter colors tend to wash out.
  8. Need a design

I'd recommend Phillip (Neato) as well.
  9. Please educate me on Flex Faces

You can either just apply vinyl to the flex or have the faces printed. Eradication is an option, but not "the norm". Keep in mind the face should be cut approximately 12" larger (HxW) than the face side of the sign to account for the material that will be attached to the framing. In other...
  10. Bulbs too tight

I've ran into the same problem. A small bottle jack and a piece of lumber cut to length makes for a nice spreader. It will allow you to get the lamps replaced without having to jar the sign by beating on it (no offense jtrube).

  13. gemini lettering removal

Just depends on how exactly they were installed: If they're just stud-mounted in E.I.F.S., then a stiff putty knife works well. If they're stud-mounted and there's silicone on the backs of the letters, which I assume there probably is, a combination of a thin, narrow, sharp putty knife and a...

Yep, it's braille...and pretty good chance the landlord won't have a clue who made them.
  17. Quick and dirty logo. Needs critique

I'm not a designer - but wouldn't the drone be better placed as a substitute for the "O" in the word "DRONE". It just seems like you would want the object over the word it's representing. "PRO" is such a short word, it seems like it would also be less distracting/cluttered if the drone were...
  18. Who To Use For An LED For Client?

Are you referring to a sign that is internally illuminated with LED's or are you referring to an EMB/EMC? Not sure if you're wanting a supplier for LED's or for a cabinet of some sort....
  19. Walmart Tire and Lube center sucks!

I've had similar results from actual oil change facilities. I decided long ago that oil changes are too important to entrust to someone that likely couldn't care less about my vehicle. I buy Mobil1 at Costco and do everything myself.
