There are a number of flexible LED strips, but you're going to have rounded corners. There are others where you can snap them every inch or so to make your turns. I forget the brand though. Look through the websites for Sloan, GE, Agilight, etc. There are a ton of them out there.

No, VHB tape isn't like vinyl. VHB = Very High Bond. There won't be any sliding of the letters. Align a corner, then slowly lay down the rest of the letter, aligning as you go. Correct...the pressure has to be applied directly over the tape (not just to the letter in general) so that it wets...

One of the most common ways is to VHB-tape aluminum angle to the ACM panels. The angle can be drilled or through-bolted to the sign frame. It's also not uncommon to build slip-over cabinets that simply slip over the sign frame and don't require actual fasteners (depending on the design, of course).

I would ask what YOU would want another sign company to do if a customer walked in with YOUR artwork and asked them to use it...?

Also, make sure you understand how the ordinance is written. Do they "box" the graphic as a whole or "box" individual sections when calculating square footage? That can make a huge difference.
