  4. What am I doing wrong??

Couple of things that could help your weeding process. 1. Let the vinyl set overnight, heat it with a heat gun, or set the vinyl in the sun for a few hours. The vinyl and adhesive will shrink and it is easier to weed. 2. Pic all the centers or holes, and mask the vinyl. Flip the decal...

P.S. Just in case it works for you, Corel X3 layer managers is under Window/Dockers/Object Manager.
  7. Layer question

Corel does layers. Every time an object is created it is on a new layer. The only way I can see to get all the holes on one layer is to combine them (creating one shape). I doubt that will help though, because when I import into Enroute, all that data is lost. When I used to use Profile...

  9. Why go with a solvent printer vs. pigment when using laminate?

My understanding is that it has to do with the size of the colorant used. Pigmented inks (solvent based usually) have larger partical sizes. As the UV hits these larger particals the outside layer fades and the interior layer continues to work. Dye based inks (water based usually) have...
  10. Really Need Help Please

I found that you have to create that NAMED color swatch in the existing Custom Spot Colors Palette in Corel. Any other palette and it won't work.

  12. Perforated film profile for VP-540

I allways use the same profile I used for the wrap. I was always worried about color shift if I switched to a different profile or added an overprint. IMHO it is what it is. Just tell the customer the colors will be muted compared to the rest of the wrap at the begining of the project. And...

  15. Pantone matching for digital printing

I always show them the Pantone Color Bridge. The one on the left is a SOLID SPOT COLOR which would be like a screen printers ink. The one on the left if 4 color process which is like a CMYK printer. The colors on our Roland usually are close the the spot color or halfway in between. I...

  17. New Build

Also go to www.tomshardware.com and look at the charts for CPU, Graphics Cards and Hard drives. Some of the charts are out of date but you can see trends on some of the software and hardware. Not sure about Adobe CS4 but CS3 is more dependant on processor speed than newest genereation of...
  18. CASmate Fonts

I am pretty sure Casmate won't work on the NT kernel, which is anything past Win98.
  19. How do you contour cut when using Corel???

I have found that you have to place it in the Custom Spot Color Palette and only that palette. Anywhere else and I couldn't get it to work. It is also where I store all the color matched colors we have created for special jobs or vinyl color matches.
  20. Vista 64-bit....

XP 64 and USB flash drives or hard drives don't work for me either. Vista 64 no problems.
