  1. Would you do this?

I did it in high school... (over 20 years ago), and we had a blast. The girls in our class did our make up, and several guys had wigs... I borrowed a set of 5" heels from my sister, and strutted my stuff. We all had a blast...
  2. Front Door Monograms

Metal letters, I'd call gemini. I don't know if I'd do wood. I just forsee too many problems. Plastic oval license plates, have them cut on a router...
  3. I need someone with a 4Over account (Level 2+) to assist.

Yup...I read your post, and went and checked it out... About time they came to their senses... Of course, I had already placed the order I need elsewhere... I wonder how much revenue they lost from their customers forced to find other sources of product.
  4. Dimensional/V-Carved signage...

+1... A lot of doing the dimensional signage is practice, and knowing what works...and a lot of that comes from experimentation. If one of my customers sent me a rout ready file, I would be very skeptical, considering if they miscalculate a depth (expecially on v carve), and it goes too...
  5. Aluminum Sign Welding/Brazing Newbie

To me it sounds like the filler is just melting, and your not heating up the alum. I'd take it to an aluminum welder. It won't be cheap, but i'd pass the cost on to the customer. Better to have a customer upset about the cost, than getting it back and have the "weld" fail.
  6. Father teaches daughter a lesson about Facebook

I would have liked to see the back of the laptop, after... Personally, I wouldn't have shot it up. I would have just sold it, rather than just throwing it away in the heat of the moment...
  7. I need someone with a 4Over account (Level 2+) to assist.

flawed is not I would call it. Its totally FUBAR... As far as the management of 4 over monitoring s101. I wish they were, and maybe they could explain just what they are thinking...(or not thinking, in this case).
  8. 4Over Loyalty Program?

I'm done with 4over! I have a customer that is looking for chrome foil on business cards, I checked their site, and it turns out that they do offer them, but I'm not at a loyalty level that will let me purchase that item... WTF!!??? I can't buy a product, because I haven't bought...
  9. File Names

Nice idea adding the date. My files are on an external hard drive, in a file "Artwork". Each file is listed by customer, then project. So its set up like: F/Artwork/<customer name>/truck lettering/unit #5... The customer may have files for business cards, truck lettering, signs...etc. And...
  10. gas pricing signs (not LED)

Headrick Sign company in laurel, Ms used to make price change signs. They are not led, but metal panels that has a control box at the bottom. Press a button, and it would flip a panel on the sign.
  11. Imitation small engine turn Brand

I think thats more of a problem between runs of material. I just finished a tanker for a local fire company, and I had 9 feet of material left over from doing it the first time (they wrecked the tanker). I went ahead and cut the material prior to getting the next roll in, and when I put it...
  12. Fellers

I have never heard from my rep, except when I call him. I have started looking at the costs of some of the vinyl, and I'm somewhat surprised. Just recently, I placed a large order (for me) that consisted of 50 yards of black - 24", 20 yards of 30" red, 20 yards of the Vinyl FX film, some...
  13. Business card shipping

Been there, done that. I have used gotprint for my b/c for seval years, and one of the first times that I ordered from them, I had an order for (4) different people in the same company, so it was a simple order for me. Same card layout, just change the names. I ordered them all at the same...

  16. Shop Music?

I have my computer hooked to a stereo, and I play 80's hair bands from slacker and pandora, mostly... But if I want to hear something specific, I'll just crank up my itunes. I have 15,939 songs.... 47.6 days worth of music. 102.31 gb of data. Everything ranging from Poison, Cinderella...
  17. Where to get a D Punch?

Thats them... I'll give them a call and see if they are even available. Thanks.. If not, I'll just throw the things on the old router...Hey, I see a future project for my step son... I've done that years ago in the past, but I'm looking for a solution that looks a little more professional...
  18. Where to get a D Punch?

Just what I have been told... NGlantz doesn't have them in stock, Interstate Electric doesn't have them in stock, Pioneer doesn't have them in stock, and I didn't think about Tubelite (not one of my normal suppliers)... Well, Tubelite was a bust. No one has one on the shelf... The guy at...

  20. Where to get a D Punch?

Hey, guys. I'm in need of a D punch for some sockets for a sign that I will start building next week. I don't have one, and I can't seem to find a supplier. I've tried NGlantz, and they don't carry them anymore... Or if anyone knows where I could get some alum for a raceway that is already...
