Bradley Bedwell CPA if the inks are gone anyway why don't you insert the cleaning cartridges and do a custody wash and leave the machine alone until you're ready to use it?
Why would you clean the head all the time? If you leave the printer plugged in it'll auto clean itself. To be sure do a test print every two weeks and do a soft cleaning if needed.
Order some new ink tubes, dampers, capping station and 8 cleaning cartridges, no matter if you keep the PH or replace with a new one you'll need these items anyway. In the meantime do the overnight soaking. Change the tubes and do 2 custody washes when the cartridges arrive (you need to wash the...
Just search for print head soaking here on the forum, it was explained many times. You need to check the ink tubes that goes from the ink cartidge to the printhead. No matter how old your PH is, or how heatlthy it was before, if you let it dry it's probably dead by now. You should have made a...
Check ink tubes, if they look good (not dried up) soak the print head overnight, do a LOT of power flushes, if you see some progress change dampers, capping station and continue with power flushes, overnight soaking.
If there is no ink after the overnight soaking and 3-4 power flushes you need...
Don't know about the cutter you mentioned, but I have a keencut arc 120" rotary cutter that cuts fabric, BOPP bag, or heavy textured wallpaper with extreme accuracy and super clean edges even after one year of (moderate and careful) use, so I wouldn't be too concerned about the quality for any...
Another inconvenience with 8 color is that you have to have 8 different ink cartridges at stock and some may expire before you use half the ink (my orange is half full after 2 years)
They go up to 40 cm/sec, so 30 will give good result (for a comparison mimaki printers with onboard cutter cuts at 30 and as far as I can remember truevis has the same speed)
This card features debossing, spot varnish, die-cutting and side paiting, all of these together may be very expensive. A much cheaper alternative is a simple debossed UV printed version that many shops may be able do with a Lef-12 (prints white and embossed varnish)
If it won't cut through for the first time have it cut on the second one. If you don't have multiple pass option you can always offset the cut line by a half of a hairline. There are really expensive flatbed cutters out there but not sure it's worth it unless you want to do some low volume...
Good point.
I just wonder how this will work. TrueVis is a response for competitors cheaper machines and it is a total failure (had one). Nevertheless if it works as expected I'll also buy one just in case.
