  1. Alley Kat - help needed

I like the second one. I'd say tighten up the tracking and maybe try a more rustic style font?
  2. Problem with my design

ugh. Looks like you need heaps of help. Your menu (unordered list) is just a plain list that are links. Nothing will drop down as it is. Not sure what to suggest but to maybe hire a real web developer? Looks like you are in over your head IMHO.
  3. Quote page on your website?

I didn't even think of an upload button. Good call. Looks like the general consensus is to go with a quote page w/form.
  4. Quote page on your website?

I wouldn't put a pricelist online. ha What do you mean by monitoring your contact page? That's what we were thinking. Although, Another thread got me thinking about how having direct contact with your client via phone or in person is much better than having anonymous e-mails coming in.
  5. Quote page on your website?

Hey All, I am in the process of building a website for our shop. In the initial discussion with my boss he mentioned having a quote page. What are your thoughts on the matter? Do legit customers use this feature in your experience? Would you suggest I skip the quote page or include it?
  6. Illustrator Clipping Mask Help

Unmask the gradient. Divide the rectangle with the circle. Delete unwanted pieces and clip gradient with your new shape.
  7. LF Ontario HP Dealer

We got ours from Access Imaging.
  8. Website script or program - Design your own sign

I'm also looking for this plug-in but not for just anyone to use. You could say that, or it's a way to weed out the PITA customers who wouldn't pay for a design anyways. Depends if you are a glass half full or half empty type of person.
  9. Is it just me?

I'd have to say that if you are here on S101 you are at least attempting to get better and in that case possibly deserve to be in the industry... I've discovered that there are a bunch of companies out there where I have no freakin' clue how they stay in business. Guaranteed they aren't...
  10. Ok you Apple Sheep !

The fact that this is newsworthy and considered thread-worthy is sad.
  11. our new website

Cool Site, but I also think the header could be easier to read. The least you could do is make forge graphics stand out from the rest. IMHO.
  12. Big Brother - and not from the gov't

This seems to have been going on for a while here in Canada. I kind of hope this encourages the growth of more private ISP's that aren't owned by the media in both the US and Canada. Like this dude for example...
  13. Logo critique and suggestions for font

can't tell if serious. :flamey: Do something birth of a hero inspired.
  14. Photoshop scale?

Tiffs from photoshop. 100-150dpi full scale.
  15. Full coverage frosting, large window

If you ever have etched vinyl that you need to mask because of contour cuts. Apply the vinyl, let it sit for a bit then soak the pre-mask. It seems to weaken the mask's adhesive and comes off without peeling up the graphic. It might come off in strips but in the end, if you have intricate...
  16. Microsoft's big announcement...

Haha I hope someone here tries at least. They'd have to be kinda rich... "The Intel Ivy Bridge i5-based Windows Pro Surface is slated to follow about three months later and will be sold in 64GB and 128GB capacities with prices comparable to Ultrabook PCs." That's $1000 for something with a...
  17. To "graphic up" todays vehicles

Hey all, Today's vehicles have so much style to them that I find simple graphic jobs can sometimes be a challenge. They have very prominent lines and shapes to them unlike the cars from the 90's and early 2000's. Take the new Ford Fiesta for example (attached below). Look at those lines. They...
  18. Air Bubbles Leaving Marks

Yes Mike. On this particular application the lettering is actually a part of the tailgate. No way to remove it. Thanks Gino, I have been told the marks should disappear once exposed to a bit of sun.. and you're right it's not really noticeable to the normal person but I just noticed it when...
  19. Air Bubbles Leaving Marks

Hey All, Quick question. When wrapping I've noticed anywhere air is trapped. Once you work the air out there is a slight line where the bubble used to be. ie. wrapping a chevy Avalanche tailgate where "Chevrolet" is raised lettering. All around the lettering there are slight lines where the...
  20. I need to explain to a designer why we have trouble with certain colours

Ya, Did you try printing the RGB file at all? I've found that the rip converts rgb to cmyk much better than photoshop or similar. I've had better results in these situations.
