We don't do many of these jobs any more.
This type of work is now in the hands of the hobbyist because a real signshop would have to charge at least $500 to see any profit.
Around here a job like this takes at least a half day if everything goes smooth and when does everything go smooth

I used to have trouble finding a particular color of vinyl.
Then I came up with this brilliant solution.
I will pass this secret onto you.
I contacted all the big vinyl film makers 3m,avery,oracal etc
and had them send me there vinyl sample charts.
Now I know what's available.
Hope this helps

What's a fax machine ?
Had a customer ask me to fax something.I told them We don't do faxes.
She told me I should get with times.I just smiled and told her were still old fashioned.
It's actually a k-10.Got a k-7 also both still work great.
Now we have all this technology and tools which is great
but I often wonder if life wasn't better in the before computer years.
To get the same dollars we got 25 years ago we have to produce 2 times the amount of signs.
I've been thinking about buying flexi.I currently use corel and ai.
Besides the rip and plotting does flexi do anything that can't be done in corel or adobe ?
Since truck lettering and signs have become a commodity like sliced baloney
I've changed my pricing to by the pound of vynull used.
$100. per pound.
By looking at that truck it looks like about 25 lbs including transfer tape.
So I would be around $2500 for that.
What a great machine.I was in awe when I first saw it.
I come from the years BC and I am fascinated with how things have changed.
I think it's the new toys and tools that keep it interesting.
Here is some stuff around our shop.
Some things haven't been touched for a long time.
