  1. How to Find Car Dimensions

That's why you get photos of the actual vehicle, do the layout on the template, and adjust your art according to the photos.
  2. Any tricks for Cutting large format graphic edges by hand?

1" overlaps are what we do, and always, ALWAYS cut in to the graphic a good 1/16" so no white is left anywhere. You'll end up around 7/8" actual overlap if done right.
  3. Need Help Door slider signs

Well, you could MAKE some....if you're a sign shop.
  4. Where can I get business cards printed.

I assume any place that prints business cards. We just use a local printer that does that stuff.
  5. Silly Question ... Spray Bottles

The grey Spraymaster is all we we use mostly. Good for alcohol, rapid remover, water, etc. Not the best for Rapid Tac, as we prefer a finer misting sprayer. For that we use a couple like this - can be found at Beauty Supply stores.
  6. is there a program that can plot the exact measurements of corner to corner of each letter?

Flexi will do this. Select your item and hit File>Job Statisitics. Shows the perimeter, area, etc.
  7. Dry Erase Wall Graphics - Ideas ETC

We did this for a customer, but they had very textured walls. We had them bring in a painter, sand down all the walls and primer them. Then went over them with dry erase lam on top of wall vinyl. As far as I know it worked well.
  8. Suggestions Smooth Banner Material for Latex

I use Grimco's "Briteline Rollup" film. 8 mil Polyester. no curl, prints great. I think scrim or any other PVC type banner looks bad in a retractable.....and the thickness (10 oz or more) can cause rollup issues as well as extra weight.
  9. Suggestions for printing a vehicle wrap

Printing could be set up before you leave for the day and let run for a couple hours, ready to lam the next morning. You shouldn't put off something like this just because of paying customers. Now the wrapping itself....that's another topic. If you don't have anyone else there, you probably...
  10. Anyone using the Shopvox cPortal?

Hmm....haven't seen that email. Although I am aware they will be shutting it down in the near future. We are switching over to Corebridge by the year's end. Kind of the "new kid on the block", most all Signarama's are on it or are switching to it now.
  11. Font ID Please?

AND the first H is upside down...LMAO. All crooked...what a horrible sign job.
  12. Need 60 4" x 20" pieces of banner material to put cut vinyl on

Some people like to do things the hard way.
  13. Question flexie

SO easy. Open in Photoshop. Save as PSD. Import in Flexi. Apply Contour Cut to whatever width of white you want showing. But before that, redesign the logo.
  14. Come on people, no more with backlit

First thing I noticed too. REEEAAAL nice on white letters.
  15. Alternative To Gemini?

We use DLL for certain things too. Their quality is hit or miss....we had a job last week with 2 PMS colors, which usually they handle well. These 2 were a huge problem for them, for some reason. Got the job in and one color was way off, but customer luckily loved it. Gemini quality is always...
  16. Clear Acrylic with Standoffs Corners Cracking

If you are getting the acrylics flame polished, remember DO NOT apply alcohol to them to clean. They WILL crack around the edges.
  17. Problems installing flexisign 8.1

I just don't get trying to use an old, old version in the first place, especially if you are an actual shop. Maybe being an individual just needing to cut a few decals now and then. My opinion would be pony up and get AT LEAST 10.5 if not newer. I don't think that version has any support anymore...
  18. is there a printable vinyl that resists high heat?

Is that a constant temperature or just a max? I'd say cast with cast lam should hold up.
  19. Question First Time Cutting PVC Board on CNC...

6MM PVC should be more than adequate. Cuts great on a table or panel saw.
  20. laminating reflective prints?

I just use the same thing I use for any other vinyl. Optically clear would be fine (cast).
