  2. Gerber edge 1 question

I would recommend the USB to LPT1 cable that gerber sells. I used a generic USB to LPT1 cable on my Edge 2 and it was hit and miss. - I would sometimes see a Data Communication error.

You will get it. The easiest will be to connect to your RS232 port on your comupter, that you mentioned in your first post. Using a converter cabe, you will most likely need a driver for it, identify it in devices. also check baud rate, bit parity etc for the ports com settings.
  15. Older graphtec plotter help please

  16. Cable Needed

It should be 25 pins on the back of the plotter according to the manual. So you nee that either a F/M, and then it depends on your port on your computer- if its LPT 25 pin, or if its 9 pin RS232
  17. Older graphtec plotter help please

If your laptop has a Serial port- then it should be COM 1 in your devices menu. that would be the easiest way to use the plotter. If you add Serial to USB adaptor, it will take a little more work to setup.

be careful with ARMS and the Q series. I have read that others could not get it working ( may have not had the option though).. also check software compatibility. If your laptop is ready to go, well worth a test onsite
  19. FC8600 Contour and Perf Cut questions

How much material are you leaving on the end of the print from the Reg marks on the back side? You typically need several inches. If the material goes past the media sensor on the back of your cutter, then it wont want to read the back registration marks-- thus that may be why you have to...

Yes- it works well with 651 and 751. However I had a very bad experience with AT60- This will not hold vinyl at all. Other reviews reflect the same experience.
