Could you (reverse) print them on LexEdge on a Gerber Edge? I know it's not how this was done, but it might be another way.

When I used to run one the service contract alone was probably about $1500/year, and the printer cost a LOT. That sounds like an awesome deal to me. Heck, the heads alone are worth that much. The one I had printed amazing and ran pretty fast, no complaints from me.

What firmware version? We upgraded last week and every tile job has been good so far.

That's what I kept running into; I assumed there was just another font that they used that had the correct characters. The G is the same (non-matching) as the C.

Laminate is made with a PERMANENT adhesive, and it is super thin; it will NOT remove easily. Don't do it, you'll probably ruin the finish of your car.

Too many very similar but not correct fonts... can't figure it out!

We use the 180c for print/cut all day long here. Never had a problem with it or tried any 3M w/o air release as we stock the 180c for wraps. 180c comes in all different widths so if you don't need a 54" just order a 36" roll for less. We even stock 15" 180c for our edge here, as customers love...

The print is printed in reverse onto the back of the clear layer, then I assume a double-sided adhesive or the black plastic has an adhesive that adheres to the back of the print. Not sure on the stand-offs.

These are for 1.5mil refrigerator-style magnets.

We print on the VinylFX Smooth Silver on our Edge machines. I think it is also called "durable smooth silver" or "e-smooth"

We have always used the 3M films and done wet installs. The installers hate it, but it is a quality product. We recently did some testing with the MacTac air egress dusted and frosted films (which are also printable), and the installers loved it. We may be making a switch soon.
