  1. Aluminum Brake Wanted

I've been searching craigslist and ebay both. Ebay has brand new ones but I'd rather have a lightly used one. It would be great to be able to go up to .080, but if it will handle .063 that would be okay. 4' is too small, 4' X 8' cabinets are the most common and so I need a 8', Also I have a job...
  2. Roland RF-640 will not print

Getting there, the heads appear to be new or excellent condition. You might have air in your lines.
  3. Vinyl decal pricing with oracal 651

The reason you have a hard time finding out pricing is because every city, county, town, country, area all have different pricing. You cannot charge $40/yard sign for a tiny town with 1,000 people, when the going rate is probably $15 in that area. The bigger cities charge alot more because their...
  4. Can you believe this sign company?

I am shocked that you would turn it down. Little jobs turn into big jobs. Making your customer happy is key, because they will tell more people about you. They will also come back with all of their future business.
  5. Graphtec plotter making clackity clackity sounds

Servos maybe? But from my research it appears lots of people have that issue and they ignore it and it doesn't change anything. Apparently Graphtec says it's a common problem.
  6. 2017 SGIA Expo

I don't have time to go, but I am going to the NBM Show in Charlotte.
  7. Aluminum Brake Wanted

Looking for an aluminum or sheet metal brake. Around 8' length. Thanks
  8. Panorama Wal & Wall

It's going to adhere to the fibers of the fabric and not secure a full bond. Therefor it's not actually sticking to the fabric at all.
  9. Roland RF-640 will not print

Try printing something large, like a 4' X 8' and leave it alone for awhile. I know that when I've run out of ink, it takes several rounds of printing attempts to get it ink back.
  10. Need Help Long readerboard needed

What do you mean by source out? Do you need help with installation or just find a company who can make it? I am a dealer for an EMC company.
  11. Discussion Average pay

It also depends on your location. Someone in New York City is going to make a lot more than the guy in the backwoods of Alabama.
  12. Need Help Corel Draw won't export jpeg

Hmm, did you install all of the features or do a minimal install? X7 is an unstable version, I recommend X8. But if you stick with X7, download the latest patches at Corel, also if you have add ons, disable them temporary.
  13. Discussion Average pay

You are wrong. You really think a one man shop with no employees just starting up is going to afford someone at $25/hour? You really think a small company say 3 employees doing $150,000 / year can afford a new person with a salary of $75,000? You know nothing about this stuff so don't lead...
  14. Discussion Average pay

$20 if you are new to the shop. After a year of being at the shop and learning their way to do things, $25. However it also depends on how large of a company it is. A $500,000 sales company should pay about $18, whereas a $5,000,000 company should pay $25 - $27.
  15. Question How bad could it be?

Don't spend more than $2,000 max. Probably will cost you $5,000 - $7,000 to make new again.
  16. Frustrated - perforated window Install

Can you see the finger prints from the inside of the glass? There shouldn't be finger prints. Not sure how you installed it to leave finger prints. As for the vinyl stretching and not lining up, it happens, just depends how bad it is. But for the overlap, I butt it together or 1/16" over and...
  17. Printing Issue

You may want to start investing in a new black print head. I've had this issue before, I found out it was static causing it. Make sure it's not too dry or too wet in the room. The other issue when this happened to me in the past was a hair or something stuck to the printhead or wiper. Be sure...
  18. Corrupt file in Versaworks

If you get an error for EPS or anything, save it at 50% of the size and resize in versaworks. It has about a 1 gig limit.
  19. National Companies Subbing out Installs... Your rules?

I play by their terms. If they require NET30 or NET45, not an issue at all. An average job from these companies is $3,000 - $5,000 so I don't turn it down due to length of payment.
