  1. Prints are bending to the left! Epson SureColor 30670 and Onyx Rip

What was the issue nbk? Or did D1 just throw a new print head in it and call it good?
  2. S30670 with Flexisign Cloud

Oracal 3641 or 3951, I use one of these 99% of the time regardless of media.
  3. Graphtec FC7000 cutter BED gouged, NOT strip

The replacement strip is sixty something dollars plus shipping. I'd plan on about 3 hours to remove the glue from the old one, must be thoroughly removed and cleaned. After that it is essentially like putting a new cutter strip on.
  4. Summa S2 t160 Problem

What materials are you using? I cut a lot of 10mil textured lam on our S2T and I've found for best results I have to print on 30" media, if you go any wider you'll find that the media likes to buckle between the pinch rollers and this typically causes skewing as it feeds back and forth.
  5. Media Select Kit

Has anyone installed a Media Select Kit on a S2 T series? Just wondering how difficult these are to install. We cut some heavy laminates and our failure rate is very low, but I feel like another pinch roller would be a tremendous help getting failures to zero. Thanks for any input...
  6. New to flexi - color issues.

I would highly recommend flattening .pdf files before sending them into flexi, strokes and gradients will usually be wrong if you do not.
  7. Graphtec Technical Support????

Give Advantage Sign & Graphics a call, they have better technicians than the "authorized" service centers that Graphtec requires you to use for warranty work, it won't be free or even cheap but it will be done correctly the first time.
  8. L25500 Bad Printhead?

We got rid of our L25 a while ago but I remember that happening on more than one occasion. A new print head will likely resolve your issue, make sure you clean the contacts also.
  9. New Gold Vinyl gone bad

It would definitely decrease UV degradation, so yes it would help for sure. Comparing 651 to 951 is like comparing a Chevette to a Corvette. 951 costs roughly 3 times more for a reason.
  10. Flexi Freeze when trying to print

Windows print spooler service can get weird sometimes. One thing worth trying: (copied from google) Start the Print Spooler service from the Services console. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK. Right-click the Print Spooler service, and then click Stop. Right-click...
  11. Tips for wrapping routered corners??

A technique similar to the one in this video may help you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFEvctCEYq8
  12. Graphtec 8600 registration off

  13. Flexi and contour cuts

print the side with least ink coverage off to one side first, let cure a bit maybe....rewind and print the other side offset to the opposite side.
  14. in search of dark gray vinyl, darker than normal

How about the Dark Grey ORAFOL 970RA Wrapping Cast? I know you said you checked Oracal but I don't think 970 is in the standard swatch book. ORAFOL 751 in Anthracite color is a deep dark grey also.
  15. 8600 software update

Check your port settings, may have defaulted back to something else with the update.
  16. What is PSL vinyl

Or Poly Styrene Latex perhaps, or maybe Pressure Sensitive Lamenated? Who knows- it could just be an internal identifier for the company that did the quote.
  17. Engineer Grade white reflective Vinyl for plotting

With 5700 I've found that the first 3 or 4 feet are usually contaminated all to heck for printing, you get a lot of mottling. Thoroughly cleaning with isopropyl can help but wont eliminate this. After you get through those first few feet though it has always printed perfectly fine for me. I...
  18. Engineer Grade white reflective Vinyl for plotting

5700 prints great on both latex and solvent, and is a quite a bit cheaper. If you don't need the conformability. Does not weed nearly as well as 5600 though.
  19. Engineer Grade white reflective Vinyl for plotting

Oralite 5600 weeds pretty decent at that size, like Andy said, it's going to suck on any reflective.
  20. What is the best chemical for removing vinyl and glue?

Krud Kutter from Menards is decent for the money on most vinyls. Franmar Ickee Stickee Unstuck has worked the best for me on tough removal jobs, wearing gloves(if you like having skin) and a ventilated area are highly recommended. It can be found here...
