  1. Custom ada braille sign recommendations?

GraphicSystems in Wichita would also be a good option.
  2. Pan Face Panel Needed

edit: I saw "pan face" and immediately thought "aluminum pan panel"....that's what I get for posting when I'm not awake. If you're referring to formed faces, try Sign Systems in Jonesboro, AR (link) or Faces in Alabama (link).
  3. DeWalt DCH213 20V Max SDS Rotary Hammer

In Gary's post there was a lot of discussion about which tool would be best, which brands were preferred, etc. Just thought I would post up a few videos of the cordless DeWalt DCH213 20V Max SDS Rotary Hammer compared to the Hilti TE 30-C. Just trying to provide a helpful comparison - not...
  4. Cordless hammer drill recommendations?

I'm installing five regulatory signs tomorrow. Each is getting mounted with three ½" x 3" anchors into concrete. I'll be using the corded Hilti, but may shoot a video using the cordless DeWalt just to see how it does.
  5. Cordless hammer drill recommendations?

Comparing the Milwaukee and the DeWalt, the Milwaukee has better numbers. If you don't already have cordless tools that the SDS would supplement, I would give that Milwaukee a try. Either tool will work well for you though.
  6. Cordless hammer drill recommendations?

That's funny, because an SDS bit can be difficult to chuck up in a standard chuck...usually the chuck teeth will wind up in the grooves of the SDS bit and the bit will be off center. The main difference between the SDS and hammer is the SDS has a piston that causes the hammering, the hammer...
  7. Cordless hammer drill recommendations?

Sayre, PA is my old stomping grounds - is that in your neck of the woods? :)
  8. Cordless hammer drill recommendations?

Send me a ½" SDS DeWalt Rock Carbide bit and I'll video it. :) Edit - just realized I have one...now I just need to find a decent place to drill. I'm not about to drill my driveway or sidewalk. :)
  9. Cordless hammer drill recommendations?

You're 100% correct - it wouldn't do that great with that size hole. My post was in relation to the Gary's original question. He's looking to mount framing. I doubt he's using 3/4" or 7/8" fasteners. I was simply suggesting a tool fit for his particular need, not suggesting it as the...
  10. Cordless hammer drill recommendations?

Lots of opinions in here, but I think one guarantee/fact is that if you get an SDS rotary, NOT a hammer drill, you're going to be thrilled. I have the new line of DeWalt 20V Max tools, including the hammer drill and the SDS and there's absolutely no comparison. The SDS blows the hammer drill...
  11. Stud-mounted letters on a split rock face...frustrating...

Thanks :) Yeah - that would have been a pain. It came out good though, nice job. Yeah, I've eyed that for a while...wouldn't mind acquiring one some day. Thanks. I was thinking along the same lines....it would be pretty easy to overlay the faces with vinyl. They're pretty happy with...
  12. Stud-mounted letters on a split rock face...frustrating...

...but finished. Other than the frustration of the ridges and so on that kept diverting the bit off course, everything went pretty well. I'm posting this more to tout the tool more than my work. After using a Hilti for similar installations (such as the monument in the background with the...
  13. Day Night Vinyl

Correct...Day/Night vinyl comes in black or white. You can digitally print the blue on the white which will give you the effect you're looking for.
  14. Installing Sign to Corrugated Wall

If you're ONLY wanting to go through the corrugated, I would think stud + VHB + silicone. I'd drill the holes so the studs fit snugly. If you can determine the fascia material behind the corrugated, I'd keep the studs long enough to reach into that and still use VHB and silicone, just to be sure.
  15. Need some advice

I would almost think it would be easier as-is.
  16. Printable Vacuformable backlit

I'm not sure where you're located, but Sign Systems in Arkansas can form pretty large faces and Sign Faces has a pretty huge facility as well. If you call Sign Systems, ask for Jeremy. If you call Sign Faces, there are two Brian's...they can both give you quotes or ask for Bill Uline. I used to...
  17. Need some advice

Doesn't a fire station scream for a woodburned sign...?
  18. Small Channel Letters

Thinking is overrated. Do too much of it and people want to hold you responsible for stuff....and that gets old.
