I have a HP Color Laser Jet 8550DN printer that I received in exchange for some work I did for an acquaintance. Other than the small amount of reading I've done online, I know next to nothing about it.
I'm curious if anyone has or has had this printer and what it may be worth? I don't have the...
Most street signs are closer to .080" or .125" for what it's worth. .250" is pretty stout (and $$$).
Any local electric sign shop should have a good stock of the above sheets and be able to cut you what you need.

Would he let you paint (?) the address numbers in a similar style as if it were a smaller sign suspended from the primary graphic? It would sure blend a lot better.
I preface all of my posts in this section with "I'm not a designer"...so....I'm not a designer, but my two cents is to put "Signs" in the center and "Stickers" on the right ("Printing • Signs • Stickers"). Seems like it would be more balanced and centered.

He asked about attaching 8" square pieces of aluminum to cement. He didn't say anything about gap filling. And since he isn't sure how to even attach it, I would guess he's more likely to have silicone around that SikaBond.

It's actually "Sikabond" (no "l") and takes about a week to cure.
That being said, silicone is cheaper, cures in about a day, and works perfectly. These are tiny 8" x 8" panels. Silicone and a 1" square of VHB tape in each corner and you're golden.
Haven't looked to see if there is one, but would it be beneficial to make this thread a sticky (or create one that specifically addresses the copyright issue)?
Agreed - if you print to flex and want it to look decent at night, you almost always have to print first and second surface. Otherwise, as visual800 and Tyrant said, it will wash out at night.
I would present it to the customer that you want to try to clean the face in an effort to save them...
