make a full metal frame and at each seam have a metal support, this way you can butt the seams together and then attach the panels to the metal supports so there is no seam separation

instead of doing a newspaper / magazine. take a look at doing a mailing list. with the cost of printing postcards and hurt that the USPS is in you can get some good coverage for minimal cost
