I did the new "accuboost" thing. 2890 swatches later (3 options 2890 / 3970 / 5292) and it still doesn't know what to do with the reds. profile looks no different really. I swear either im doing something wrong somewhere or it cannot understand the red patches well.

I dont know how many sheets you have on the bed at once or size. I never print on my table. creates more work later on and looks messy. But i would be trying other vacuum bond sheets. Or even get really thin/low GSM non coated paper.

Why ask, when you have the tools to try! The amount of stuff we try is pretty unreal. People come to us with out there ideas, and we will try, not for them but for us. Because if results are good, we not only have pleased out client, we've developed a new product.

I couldn't even find your printer on the internet? I'll tell you now, your first issue is your "Chinese printer" IMO Get rid of it and get something like a HP or Epson ect depending what you're doing. There's countless amount of people who come here looking for help with their Chinese printers...

You can't "design" in onyx. But you can edit in job editor, i.e crop marks, bleeds, colour adjustments ect. that is not "Design" work what you're doing in onyx. cropping, bleeds, scaling ect isn't design and not intended for your client to see. That is there so you can do all those on the fly...

I don't use roll printers, But if i was in the market for one and 1640mm width, i'd go with the latex or an Oce colorado as i dont do wraps.

I notice onyx gets Reds wrong but it does tones nicely. Xrite does it all nice but i have found it can make dark colours murky. I know you can do a bit more with I1Profiler like optimisation, but i've never actually tired. I might give it a shot when i get some free time.

Did you get the I1p publish package? if you did, try using their ICC engine. It's actually quite good and forgiving. You honestly dont need to go crazy on patches either. The IT8-7.4 chart is fine to use. or 944 patches in onyx. or you're wasting time if you dont have an automatic Spectro...
