I watched this about six months ago...just watched the entire thing again. Great video.
  2. Curious about Graphic Tablets... or some such item

Wacom has a myriad of products, and pretty well built.
  3. Design Computer

Your RAM is not likely your problem, 8 gigs is plenty...i7 processor, SSD, and a decent video card will solve your problem.
  4. Recommendation for permanent wall vinyl decal

Try letting the prints cure 2-4 days before cutting and curling will be less of an issue.
  5. 3M or Avery

I've been running MPI1005SC since release and have never seen that type of contamination, our HP Latex machines print beautifully on the stuff. That being said, we are typically applying to box truck, tailers, and Econolines, no deep ridges though, and yes it is fairly thin but no product...
  6. Where to buy card stock, cardboard, paperboard, etc.

Uline and/or your local paper company would be a good place to start.
  7. Mark detect issue with Mimaki CG-160FX

My rule of thumb is the outside pinch rollers need to be at least 3/8" outside my crops, at least a 1" lead in front of the print and 3 to 4 in the back. Do I use slightly more material? YES....do I ever waste hours trying to plot something that should take a mnute or two? Almost never. Also...
  8. Snowmobile templates?

motorsportstemplates.com doesn't seem to exist?? my bad, it's motosports they look legit and priced fairly in my opinion.
  9. opening new sign shop, need some help

This could possibly be the vaguest original post ever on S101.
  10. Contour Cuts Off, any ideas?

Are your pinch roller tensioner arms set correctly? If you are using all three, the outside two should be down and the middle one in the middle or all the way up. Or if you are are printing on a Latex machine on cheap vinyl...it will warp and cuts will be off by a mile. What Graphtec are you...
  11. Might wanna look and see..................................

Great work, retro always looks so sleek, don't see nearly enough of it.
  12. Dremel 3D Printer

http://3dprinter.dremel.com/?campaign_source=dremel&campaign_medium=website&campaign_id=3dideabuilder I may have to attain one of these if the $1,000 price on Amazon is accurate. If nothing else you sign builders could do some very interesting and unique post caps.
  13. Not finding reg marks

Are you setting the origin point in this general vicinity?
  14. Not finding reg marks

http://www.signs101.com/forums/showthread.php?67150-Graphtec-FC8000-Reference-Settings <---might help, it's for an FC8000 but they are very similar machines. Those are some monster sized crops, 1/2" crops are sufficient if your machine is dialed in. You don't really need a ton of room outside...
  15. AMAZING Painting Skill on Ukraine's Got Talent

Impressed me anyways, surprise result at the end. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wy_VzYSQ3gQ
  16. New Epson S30 drops ink

Easily the least impressive aspect of S series is the take up system, what I do is place a single piece of tape exactly in the center of the media, taking care to tape it to the take-up roll as squarely as possible. You will know when you get it right, it will take up a full roll perfectly. As...
  17. New Epson S30 drops ink

If you have been running it a lot these few months, I would suggest putting in a new wiper. When ours starts dropping like that I do a medium cleaning cycle and change the wiper and have never had it not go away immediately. I go through at least one set of ink per week and very rarely change...
  18. Vujade Software

Aaron you say your in direct competition with Signvox.....so what more are we getting for nearly 3 times the monthly fee? My employer is in the same boat as Marks', we are kind of in a holding pattern at present time, waiting to find the perfect software for our direction.
  19. Turn off cross cut on Graphtec FC-8000?

Or you may have apparel mode on?
  20. Turn off cross cut on Graphtec FC-8000?

Pretty sure your software has to be telling it to cut off after the job. Under the TOOL SETTING menu, go to CONDITION PRIORITY and try changing it to MANUAL...this should turn auto-cut off. Just be aware that you need to set your conditions(speed/force) at the Graphtec now and not in your Omega...
