  1. New business need help

I vote for two separate machines...as they potentially can both be making you money at the same time. Not to mention a dedicated cutter is typically going to perform much better than a hybrid printer. As for lamination, if google hasn't failed me, your in Texas and if you sell anything for...
  2. Looking for Trimmer/Cutter recommendations.

So far I've looked at what Fletcher an Kleencut has to offer, is there any other brands I should be checking out? We primarily will be cutting laminated vinyl, but the ability to cut corrugated and 22 pt. chipboard cleanly would be a huge plus. The need to cut both directions is a must. Thanks...
  3. Epson surecolor s30670

I've done a 16 panel bus wrap with a fair amount of 4" text that lined up perfectly(Auto-tile flip on), and routinely print on Orajet calendered in 10' sections with hundreds of decals and everything usually plots fine.
  4. Epson surecolor s30670

I have been running one daily since December 2012, and for our niche it is a perfect machine. They are fairly easy to maintain, and can pump out the jobs almost as fast as you can send them. It really depends on your needs though, if the bulk of your business is wraps and/or full color prints...
  5. 3M wrap aggressive vinyl problem - Roland Versacamm VP540

I thought something had changed, the 8520 cast Lam has been barking like a dog lately as it comes off the backer, especially at 50FPM.
  6. Flexi Cloud issues

Any resolution rydod? I'm supposed to 'upgrade' to flexi cloud tomorrow morning, but have a massive pile of work orders as well. The last thing I need is to spend half the day messing with software.
  7. I'm lost on Flexi

Make a black and white version in your Adobe product of choice, Bezier it in Flexi, put your contour on that, then bring in the print file. Make sure your b&w copy is exactly the same size and everything will line up perfectly.
  8. S70670 Recomendation

We have a 30670 which is identical aside from a smaller heater and half the print-heads...the thing is a beast for that price point. It will print a full roll in a little over 3 hours in production mode, print quality is great, odorless, and easy to maintain.
  9. HELP!! SummaCut D60 Issues - Not responding to Cutting Software

You may want to try reinstalling your Summa drivers.
  10. Black Friday Deals

64 GB flash drive for under $20, good stocking stuffer at least. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=8898009&sku=VDA-102326335&cm_re=Homepage-_-Zone1_4-_-CatId_379_VDA-102326335
  11. HP L25500 just exploded

HP has a long, long history of making things as cheaply as possible. Back in the early 90's I returned 3 HP Pavilions over a 15 month span, failing hard drives, failing cd-roms, failing memory...the list goes on. After the 3rd one I bought an IBM Aptiva that will probably still boot. They are...
  12. Remove Small dots and circle

For what it's worth, enhanced corners and/or enhanced curves in Flexi is pretty good at leaving out the little junk stuff, tweak the sliders until you are satisfied.
  13. Latex vs solvent print life?

With UV protection both options are more than adequate for most any job. So your real decision is what printer would you rather operate and maintain.
  14. L26500 printing magenta instead of yellow

Hit ENTER on the printer once the warm-up starts to skip it on the JV3. Ideally after you've already done some printing. After re-reading I realized you meant the Latex took forever to get going and yah I totally agree, we still have a strong running L25500 but if I need something fast...
  15. 8.5 v2 Where is my bezier??

If you are running the Designer version you may not have Bezier, I think that is only included in the Pro version.
  16. Flexi Vs Illustrator

If your fluent in Photoshop and Flexi, Illustrator should be easy for you to figure out. Or you could just buy a real computer and not look back.
  17. flexi production manager AWOL... and L25500 is not shown among choices

Look inside the 'Jobs' folder in your flexi directory. That is where Flexi 8.x put them at least. Also I would suggest that you ask HP to send a different technician, perhaps one that knows how to troubleshoot and repair your printer.
  18. Flexi Cutting Options

Like Wayne I prefer to set depth at the plotter for the reasons he stated. But if you do want to try it you need to change a setting on your plotter. On a Graphtec I am pretty sure its called CONDITION PRIORITY under the TOOLS menu, change it to SOFTWARE.
  19. ugly?

The next marketing director for Mar32Ket will have some small shoes to fill.
  20. Cannot find a tech to work on my HPL26500--PLEASE HELP!

So when you run the test print nothing happens? If your just trying to get flexi set-up just go into Production Manager and 'add setup', select the L26500 from HPs list, then go grab some profiles from any number of sites - Oracal, Avery, Scanvec and HP to name a few. Load the profiles that...
