  2. Need Help Client requesting files

Some of the files were designed by an ad agency then we format them for our use. We'd obviously charge for labor. We did get some money out of them for another project's files and I explained to her how we know they're taking the files to another vendor and that there is a cost attached to it...
  3. Need Help Client requesting files

Sorry for the repeat post. Not sure if they are gone for good. They requested a lettering estimate a month or so ago but haven't heard anything back. They were good payers. We were hoping this person might've moved on! We'll ignore it for a while and see how bad they need them.
  4. Need Help Client requesting files

We recently had a client where a new advertising person came on board and now doesn't want to work with us. They had some bigger jobs and we sort've understood but then we saw what the new company had done and we could've done it in our sleep. So I get this all sweet email "Hope all is well -...

  6. Need Help #m vinyl peeling off natural gas truck

We applied during warm weather - 60+. We prepped as we normally do, which works for 99% of our vehicles and we do anything from wraps to small vinyl jobs with no lifting at all after many years after the install. The tank, filled with Propane, is cold, which makes the surface of the tank cold...
  7. Need Help #m vinyl peeling off natural gas truck

So, Not Stainless Steel. Painted but the truck is a Natural Gas truck and the cold, well below 60 degrees and there's no way to warm it.
  8. SG-300 double cutting everything.

.oo1 seemed to do it for the Stroke size. Transparency thing didn't work because I had a complex region (gradient). Would be nice of Rokland to tell us that. I printed a whole job using a PDF and the black wasn't really a rich black. Yeah I could create the color as rich black but what do I do...

  10. SG-300 double cutting everything.

I'm not seeing that option when I save as an eps. I'd use PDF but I always have to resize my document. That's fine for small jobs but for very large jobs it can be problematic.
  11. Need Help #m vinyl peeling off natural gas truck

Yes, probably stainless. I will look into those products. We use Oraguard 290 (cal) lam. We clean everything with water then alcohol. If there was adhesive we'd use 3M Adhesive remover, then water then alcohol. Is there something else we should use?
  12. Need Help #m vinyl peeling off natural gas truck

Have a customer with aluminum tank trucks. We've used regular #M vinyl and has peeled in the past. We also digital print 3M an it too peeled off within a year. Anyone have any ideas on what else we could use that will not peel? We have this Arlon sticky vinyl but it tends to shrink and then you...
  13. SG-300 double cutting everything.

Using latest VW and illustrator Cloud subscription. All of a sudden now every job I send the machine is double cutting; even using previously used files that worked fine. Roland is saying to save as a PDF instead of an eps file. I've restarted everything but it seems to be a know issue...

Not sure that's ging to give a clean enough cut.
  15. Snap Trim How To Part 2

Installing snap trim on a sign. I don't have a 45 degree cutter. We do so few that's it's not worth it. But, cutting the 45 can be little challenging. I get it close but I was wondering if anyone has a better way of cutting the corners more precisely.

  17. Acquiring A Computer's Business

A nearby competitor, actually one sweet over, is retiring and has asked if we'd want to buy his whole business or part of it. Thoughts, concerns? He has a stable customer base which is probably the strongest selling point for us. His machines are older than what we own now.
  18. Alternative To Gemini?

Alternative to Gemini? Has anyone noticed their process sucks? We'd like to use a different source to get acrylic letters.
  19. Roland SG-300 waste

In VM you can double click on the folder icon (to the left of the little screen icon) and in Printer setting you can override the "Page Space" setting and make it whatever works best. I haven't experimented with that yet. I just want to make this setting on the machine as a default. I think it's...
  20. Roland SG-300 waste

Ok, I'll give that a try. Any thoughts on why it's cutting the back end too short? Someone above suggested to change the "Page Spce" in Printer Controls. I've done that but my other SP-540 machine has the right length as a default - in the printer, not VM.
