I have a guy who's a vinyl rep came in and would like us to cut vinyl for him - for a job.
What would be a good Sq. Ft. price?
Again, he would be supplying the vinyl; which is a window tint. It would be the shape of a wave for about 200'
I doubt there is a specific program for doing this type of install but maybe. I think you'll find, in our area anyway, it's pretty competitive, and I think we are too. Many shops undercut each other to get jobs. We'd love to charge by the hour, and we're pretty efficient, but we'd price...
We have our square footage price we use for 53' trailers but there would be a lot of fuzty work cutting and trimming around all the doors and pillars. Add a $1.00/sq. ft.?
We've had our VG2-540 (with Orange) for about 5 months and this problem has been with it since it started up. Replaced dampers and cap for this head and tech, with Roland, have gone through every test they could think of. Typically we did not control the humidity but have since got it down to...
We're using 3m ij180cv3-10 gloss with 3M 8518 gloss laminate. Especially with the new vans and the rear side panel contours we're getting lifting after we've delivered the job. We use the 3M liquid (twice) before getting as close as we can before using heat. Using hand/finger/squeegee or a 3M...
So now the backing - take-up reel - keeps turning, after I stop. I'm already using one hand to separate the feed and exit - how do I keep the take up roll from continuing to roll when I stop??
I've been trying/doing that but gravity isn't enough. It seems to curl up even with pull pressure. I've even tried placing a piece of cardboard in between there that works but it's a pita.
I apologize if this thread exists - I did a search but did not find one. I was using Oracal 290 gloss which comes reverse wound and when exiting the rear of the GBC laminator it travels in the same direction as the feed roller turns - this is good and I never have an issue with it getting...
I hear ya but on certain spots you have to take the backing off. I was working on a door near the mirror (no, I didn't take it off) and I almost lost it as it curled and stuck - near disaster. Took me an hour to un-stick it and get it laid down. This batch of ...Cv3 didn't seem very air...
We got a new roll of what we think is ij180Cv3 but the air release holes seem to be smaller and even laminated that stuff starts to curl immediately. 1.) any suggestions on keeping it from curling? 2.) anyone tried the ...mC-10 compared to Cv3?
At one point the Magenta tray was saying it was empty but it wasn't. I wiped the needle where it pokes into the bag. Eventually the warning stopped and it started printing normally. I suspect a blocked magenta hose or something.
I'm trying to do a job we did last year - a reprint but the blue, and basically all the blues, even on the color chart are all in the purple range.
I've tried several different profiles, different media, Density Control, Max Impact, High Quality.
Considering the SP-540 does not need this extra media fed out I consider this to be a firmware issue. I already do these work-arounds, hence this is why I'm asking: Why won't Roland fix it? Has there been a fix? By these responses I'd say no. Does anyone know code that that they could go in and...
Basically everything we print we contour cut so it's not just about paying attention. I have a SP-540 sitting right next to it and I do NOT need to pay out wasted media. It is a firmware setting that they just won't fix - and we all make work-arounds for.
I have an SG-300, i know that you for your condolences, but since we bought it it never feeds out enough media before it cuts the sheet. I've gone in and added 90mm of "Page Space" in printer controls but sometimes that's not even enough. It always comes up with "Crop mark not found" but it's...
I replaced the head on my SG-300 within the last year. I came in after one day and the blue had run out. I've attached the print test. I've soaked the head, replaced the cap and done a Med cleaning as well as lightly pressed a soaked swab again the print head. - Thoughts?
