  1. Printing directly to the HP L265 from a computer - Hookup suggestions?

Do what I did. Install a second NIC and run it direct. Haven't had a RIP hiccup since.
  2. Contour Cut way off....

It's only used with 4 point marks, in the same drop down list of Reg Marks. When you do your contour cut, it runs you through the steps to line up with the laser.
  3. Contour Cut way off....

I have started a habit of turning off the plotter and then back on right before I do any critical contour cutting. 9 times out of 10 if I have trouble with cuts lining up to the print, restarting the machine solves it. Don't know why....guess it's backed up/excess bits and bytes in there.... I...
  4. Solid color wrap vinyl shipped with premask - How to install?

I used to do a bunch of Safety-Kleen Connect vans, and they shipped us the graphics like this. They were liquid laminated. As suggested, install as much of the flattest areas as possible with the tape on it, then when you get to the trickier curves and tucks, peel off the tape so you can apply...
  5. Window perf on roll down window

Also get you a Sealer Pen and run the sealer across the bottom (all edges even better) so that any up and down of the window doesn't start to peel the perf off.
  6. print head duration latex 260

Too many variables. I've had some heads last way too long, some not long enough. If you have a head strike, because of edge guards (I've had it happen) it most often only trashed head no 1, a C/Lc head. So Keep extras of those on hand. I've had to replace one with maybe 1 hour of printing on it...
  7. Industrial Laminators VS Regular Laminators

Oh...I don't have a print take up on ours....600-S. This is our usual setup.
  8. Industrial Laminators VS Regular Laminators

Not understanding your question..print to the take-up reel?
  9. Industrial Laminators VS Regular Laminators

I usually only lose about 12" length on ours to get it loaded....I just get the liner taped up on the take up (I slip an old material core on the take up so I can just pull that whole thing off and toss it). Then pull out enough laminate to stick to the back platform, pull the print up under the...
  10. installing on glass in extreme cold

Also use a LOW tack pre-mask.
  11. installing on glass in extreme cold

Have never heard of nor tried that....I use alcohol to remove adhesive, so I can't even imagine using it to help adhesive vinyl stick better....
  12. installing on glass in extreme cold

Rapaid Tac II is for cold, but they say down to 20. Just be patient and slow peeling the pre-mask.
  13. Preview .EPS files from windows explorer

Nothing related to Adobe previews for me... PDF, AI, PSD all show different icons. Always has been frustrating.
  14. HP L360 and printing on clear vinyl possible?

3620 here too, but it is not Air Release.
  15. fabric bunching on 360

I think you should adjust the Vacuum setting as well...if it's pulling too hard that will cause the material to bunch.
  16. Looking for vinyl express q64 and mutoh 1624 profile for FlexiSign Pro 8.1

What do you mean by profile? And for a plotter? Do you mean drivers? You need the install disk and you have to add the machines in Production Manager.
  17. Re-creating Logos

Yeah, that's if you have mostly large corporations for customers, who normally can supply CORRECT logos (many of BOTW logos are crap....they LOOK ok, but often are not 100%). Most logos you have to cleanup/recreate are small businesses who had their secretary make something in MS Paint or Word.
  18. Help finding a PMS color that is close to a vinyl color

Ah...we just have the standard books then. Only shows numbers for mixing other pantone inks. Must get this one.
  19. To meat or not to meat, that is the question.

I just have to laugh at people that get on a SIGN forum and rant about ridiculous BS like this....even thought it's the "General Chit-Chat" section....still. Come on.
