Roosters crow all of the time... day or night. All our roosters went in the fridge the other day, it gets annoying real quick having them around. A neighbor around a half mile away has one, and once it crows - all of ours started crowing too. (back and forth all day)

I've used both Curbell and Piedmont in the past with great results. There is another local plastics company near me that is called Tri-State Plastics, not sure if they have what you need, but may be worth a call. http://www.tristateplastics.com/

We also use Restylers Choice for pinstriping. They're also in Ohio, so you should be able to receive product next day. The ONYL issue I've ever had with pinstriping was White Reflective; but they warrantied the material.

I use all 3M & Gerber materials for reflective, never any issues from customers or the material. For Chevron striping, I really like Reflexite.

Did you clean the eye while you had the strip out? Sometimes lint gets on the eye also. After installation you also need to re-calibrate (I think in the service/tech menu) the machine. Also, lube your carriage rail & wheels with 3-in-1 oil or sewing machine oil. It'll help the carriage ride...
