  1. Waiting in-between panels?

That is what the other printer is set on.... no idea why this one is set so low. We've been covered up with work since I started here a couple weeks ago, so I haven't had any down time to run tests to see what the different heat settings print at yet. BTW, the heat being set too low DID turn...
  2. Waiting in-between panels?

I think the problem is the heat setting that we're using to print on this printer: We have it set at 25 / 20 for the heat settings. The printer is displaying a message that the "current temperature" is 24... and since that is the ambient room temperature, it cannot cool down to 20 degrees as it...
  3. Thought of the day.

Roosters crow all of the time... day or night. All our roosters went in the fridge the other day, it gets annoying real quick having them around. A neighbor around a half mile away has one, and once it crows - all of ours started crowing too. (back and forth all day)
  4. Waiting in-between panels?

Fortunately, it will run a roll worth of prints just fine with them all qued up as long as someone hits "enter" between each print. And while that is feasible during the day, it sure slows down production if you forget to check it for a half an hour a couple times per day. (average panels take...
  5. Waiting in-between panels?

    Anyone?
  6. Waiting in-between panels?

On one of the Mimaki's here (JV3-130SPII) the machine waits between panels for you to hit the Enter button before it starts printing the next panel or job that you send to it. It doesn't display an error, just the heat settings on the screen. It's been that way for a while and is a PITA; having...
  7. cheaper 54" a/r materials for race cars?

For a 6 month product, IJ35C works good for people wanting a cheap temporary race wrap.
  8. Label Color!!!

Make the resolution of the JPEG file higher? Or, just rasterize the color-sensitive areas of the file and place them back over the res tin Flexi. (as suggested above)
  9. backlit film or vinyl?

If they're washed out when lit up, they need to be double-struck or double-printed, whichever term you're familiar with.
  10. Domed Decals

IIRC Restylers Choice can do small qty runs of domed decals.
  11. Need a source for 1/16" or thinner white polycarbonate please?

I've used both Curbell and Piedmont in the past with great results. There is another local plastics company near me that is called Tri-State Plastics, not sure if they have what you need, but may be worth a call. http://www.tristateplastics.com/
  12. Pin striping supplier

We also use Restylers Choice for pinstriping. They're also in Ohio, so you should be able to receive product next day. The ONYL issue I've ever had with pinstriping was White Reflective; but they warrantied the material.
  13. Reflective for Fire vehicles.

I use all 3M & Gerber materials for reflective, never any issues from customers or the material. For Chevron striping, I really like Reflexite.
  14. Font help

    That's what it was! Thanks!
  15. Encoder strip question

Well, if you're waiting; take the strip and sensor out again, and clean them again. Wear gloves & use lint-free wipes. I've had to clean the strips a few times before they worked right again on occasion. With it happening as soon as it starts up, it seems that possibly you could have a bad...
  16. Encoder strip question

Did you clean the eye while you had the strip out? Sometimes lint gets on the eye also. After installation you also need to re-calibrate (I think in the service/tech menu) the machine. Also, lube your carriage rail & wheels with 3-in-1 oil or sewing machine oil. It'll help the carriage ride...
  17. Trimming ACM (Polymetal)

Table saw will do it with steady hands. A straight edge and clamps with a few sharp razor blades will do it also. it also depends on how thick your polymetal is...
  18. Font help

I'm looking for the font used in this logo. I can't seem to locate it, and the image is too low res to work in the identification software...
  19. Steam cleaning to remove residual adhesive?

denatured alcohol and paper towels will take off what's left.
  20. SP-540V Printing Issues

It was the capping stations, sorry I didn't get around a computer again until now... after the drain line was cleaned out going down to the pump I did the "ink pump up" once, then a medium cleaning and the mgenta ink tube started to look pink again. After that, I just printed some large magenta...
