Are you relying on the RIP to dial in your media types or are you creating paper setting on the machine. Just curious.

Make sure your locking the supply core supports good and tight. If your not tightening it down, the roll can wander. There's also a tensioner on the side of each support (silver thing with 2 phillips screws), try engaging them if you haven't already. I've found this helps keep the material...

Having almost the exact same type of banding on my GS6000. Can only see it with a flashlight or with reflection running 8 pass 720x720 or 720x1440, pretty much disappears with lamination. Sticks out like a sore thumb on 6 pass 540x720 or 720x720, still very visable with lamination...

Ergo Texprint is by far the best rip for dye sub or direct to fabric printing. My opinion of course.
