Booooo! Wanted to see that blank canvas transformed. But I've always liked simple and clean too.
  4. Wrapcut rough edges many, many attempts

I also did not care for the Wrapcut. The filament itself is not straight if you look close it zigs and zags all the way through the roll. Also harder to start than the knifeless

    Thanks Tiki! Right as usual!
  6. Looking for some font ID help

  8. 5 Years In Business Thanks Signs 101!

Today marks 5 years in business for myself. Just wanted to share a heartfelt thanks to the Fred and the Signs 101 community. So many font ID's, printer trouble shooting, installation techniques, tool recommendations, and countless rants both giving and taking. Couldn't have done it without this...
  9. No longer offering Font finds

I can't imagine ever being at a point where I've helped more people than times I've been helped. I am very aware that I take more than I give here, but it's not from lack of trying. If I ever live long enough to gain as much sign making wisdom as some of the contributors here, then I will first...
  10. Best way to cut lots of small coroplast pieces.

I'd use the sawtrax coro knife to cut along the flutes, then make a jig for the other cut. I have a Grizzly foot shear that cuts like butter. You can line up several pieces and cut them at one time. Or see about ordering them up if time is a factor
  11. Its BAAACK!!!! Thanks so much everybody !!

Glad to help. Only a month ago I was in the same boat. Had a lot of detailed help. Also had to change a head. But thanks to the Signs 101 family, I did it myself with no problems. I had zero experience with the printer other than ink cartridges and wipers. Never would have attempted it without...
  12. Large colored panels - Wrap Film or Regular Vinyl

Looks like you got your answer already Mark. But I did this trailer a few years back with 751. (The Red) It turned out well, but next time I would use a wrap cast as well.
  13. Oracal Questions

That's good to know. Gotta love this forum for stuff like this.
  14. Oracal Questions

I use 95% Oracal products and have a fairly old swatch book. Brilliant Blue & Gold is rated for 4 years on this one. Does yours say 2 years? That would be quite odd
  15. TOTAL FAIL after cleaning / soaking heads

Just ALWAYS make sure those ribbon cables are good and secure when playing with the heads with the power on. That is most likely the reason for the blown fuses.
  16. TOTAL FAIL after cleaning / soaking heads

Most likely blew the F1 or F2 fuses on the main circuit board. Just went through this. Try jumping the fuses and printing again. Also make sure the ribbon cables are plugged square into the heads and board before firing up the printer again
  17. My new Sign Installation Command Center (aka SICC) vehicle...haha...

Fly wheels man. Keep us in the loop so we flame your design ideas for graphics:wink:
  18. SP 300v Cutting issue

When cutting laminate you should be using a 60 degree blade. Also try slowing the cut speed down.
  19. Buffalo Soldiers driving me crazy

Vector Doctor for sure. This will make everyone get along https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5FCdx7Dn0o
  20. Do I Want to Get Into Lamacoid Manufacturing?

Still used extensively in commercial and industrial electrical panel labeling.
